Default Do NOT support Good Times on TV Land!

Any REAL, TRUE, FAN of Good Times would not support those cut up, edited episodes of Good Times on TV Land. You all should just get the DVD's and be able to watch the whole episode like it was meant to be.

Yeah TvLand and Nick can really screw up a show. The DVD's are a great thing to have and if you can get TVone that's way better then TvLand.

Folks, does it really matter if a person supports it or not? It is doing well on TV Land. "If it ain't broke, then don't fix it." TV Land/NAN has been known to airr choppy versions because that is what they are given by the companies that that release the rights to these programs.

There are others that don't have the DVD's like myself but I have the Columbia House versions unedited. I will buy the DVD's in due time but if others want to watch it, I think they should have that right. The problem that I do have is the fact that I am expecting a certain line to be said and it is not. I am so used to a pattern because I have watched the eps over and over again that I may say the lines occasionally as they are being said and then notice a quick cut to the next line without being able to hear what I thought I would. That is my problem with syndicacted eps.

I am going to figure out a way to get TV ONE. I love that station! I will get my mother to tape shows for me until I get the network myself.

I agree with this. Any REAL, TRUE, FAN of Good Times would probably have the dvds anyway, so what difference would it make if it's all cut up on TVLand or not? If I'm flipping through channels and see that an episode is on, why wouldn't I want to check out at least a few minutes of it in place of going for the dvd? I've got the dvds in my collection, so they're always going to be there when I want to watch it. How is simply watching a TVLand episode showing "support" for edited episodes? I'm just enjoying one of my favorite shows, with whatever parts they do decide to show.

Just be glad it's on TV.If you get all the seasons, then that's great, but some people don't have the money to buy every single season of their favorite show or don't even own a DVD player.Give'em a break dudes.I saying this even though I do own a DVD player

Yeah the average length for a UNCUT episode is 25min, but the TV Land version is like 18 or 19 mins

Oh Soloman, come on now, just a while back you were posting abt not being able to buy a computer, etc. Some people may not be able to afford $15 or $500; some people live check by check. Not being mean Soloman, u know what I am getting at. After paying for other bills, they possibly need gas for a car they own, if they don't, they need $$ for transportation.

As far as the minutes being cut, they may only cut 2 mins. or even 5-6 mins. but even if it's just 2 minutes, those can be vital 2 mins. regarding what is going on. Remember that episode when Willona's ex Ray, sexually harassed Thelma, those last 2 mins they cut out were vital to the storyline because it showed Willona and Flo making up, Willona apologizing to Thelma, Thelma saying her sorrys to Willona, and the important part, Willona calling the bakery and cancelling the wedding cake.
