Notwithstanding the M-47, what was the actual model and year of the junk truck??? I have never heard the same answer, some claim 1962, but I see no Ford '62 models that were close to it. I have searched Ford archives as well, and find nothing. Anyone with the correct answer will get a 1/25 scale model (museum quality) of the truck (limited edition: 1 of 2, the other will be mine!) So, give me the info, and you and I will have our own scale momento of Fred's "Empire"!!!!! Thanks!!! Hell, then we might collaborate to create the "Panel Truck" from "Guys Groovy Grab Bag"

The S&S truck was a 1951 Ford F-1 flathead 6 cylinder. The FORD emblem on the front was cast as one piece, whereas the similar 1952 F1 had separate F-O-R-D lettering on the front. In one episode when it was "stolen" Fred called the cops saying his "52 Ford pickup" was stolen, when in fact it was a 51.Also,the truck was supposibly taken out of a junkyard for the show, and it never ran...it was pushed and pulled offstage by crew and ropes. The truck driving down the road in the opening sequence was a different one.(I would think).
