That really sucks, I mean season one didn't have too many features, but at least they showed good quality, not even one, I swear, it seems as if extras were a yesterday fad. I think they add so much more to a DVD.

well, with season 2, let's just be glad it's coming. The commentaries on season 1 weren't anything to write home about anyways.

However, I notice the back of the box says 24 episodes, according to TV.com, there were 26. Does this mean that this time, Sony will be presenting the two two-parters as one complete episode as opposed to the way they were handled in season 1? I know Sony's been able to present hour long episodes in their entiries on the Seinfeld sets before.

Sony would have been doing themselves well if they got this out before Christmas as opposed to after. I got S1 for my nephew for Christmas last year and he loved it. It has kid appeal whether you were a kid when it was originally on or whether you're a kid now. Not saying that it won't sell, but I could see it being a good Christmas gift for a lot of people.

Good obsvervation. I think we will see the multiple part episodes as "one" episode, at least the ones that aired like that originally. DS S2 had 4 two-part episodes. Three of them aired in the one-hour format and the other (The Adoption) aired as a two part episode. So, 24 episodes seems strange, it should be 23. Maybe one of the three hour episodes will be in two parts?

Season 1 had 2 two part episodes that originally aired as one hour episodes and the packaging listed the season as having 24 episodes instead of 22.

Diff’rent Strokes: The Complete Second Season Episodes Are:

1. Arnold’s Girlfriend (Part 1)
2. Arnold’s Girlfriend (Part 2)
3. Feudin’ And Fussin’ (1-hr)
4. Mrs. Garrett’s Romance
5. Birds And Bees
6. Arnold’s Hero
7. The Adoption (Part 1)
8. The Adoption (Part 2)
9. Father And Son Day
10. Thanksgiving Crossover (1-hr)
11. The Rivals
12. Hot Watch
13. The Dog Story
14. The Election
15. Friendly Mate
16. Poor Drummond
17. Big Business
18. Return Of The Gooch
19. Valentine’s Day Retrospective
20. Guess Who?
21. Teacher’s Pet
22. Slumber Party
23. The Will
24. The Squealer

Looks like Arnold's Girlfriend might be syndicated version, since it is two-parts. Everything else looks right.

Exactly. I found the commentaries to be pretty boring and I can definitely do without them on future releases. The other extras were decent, but nothing great. The episodes themselves (uncut for the most part) are what's important...

That's great if we only get one syndicated episode. (2 parts) I was expecting many edited multi-part eps on this DVD, which would have sucked. Thanks for posting that S2 info, Pav. I'm definitely excited about this set. I REALLY hope we get more DS sets in the future. It would be great if S3 was released shortly after S2, like Sony did with Jeffersons after a long wait for S3, but I'm not holding my breath.
