I disagree with the newhart fan.I think PJ improved when they started the singing.It made the show more warm and heartmoving.

They always sang songs on Petticoat Junction and I always liked the songs they'd sing.I remember how my Gramma and I were seeing a show that began with Sam Drucker and the girls singing,"Tell me,Pretty Maiden,"and she recognized the song from waaayyy back.
I also thought the late Meredith MacRae had a beautiful voice and loved all the songs she sang on the show.These include I Enjoy Being A Girl,Who Needs Memories Of Him,The Boy From Ipanema,When I Fall In Love,Ordinary People and probably more. |
