Well, I have no choice but to post how sad it is when the ability to
reason and the will to understand have vanished from a trader.
My first trade with KAT was successful, except that she had only one
audio wire plugged in when recording the dvds and because i have
astereo tv, the sound only comes out through one speaker.When
questioned about the situation, and asked if she could correct this
problem,she was unwilling to do so. She made me a compilation of a
whole bunch of different interviews from different sources, and all of
them had this problem, so the problem occurred when she made the dvds
for me(most unlikely that they came to her like that from 20 different
trades). She didn't even offer me an explanation.


Well, I let it go, and I guess I didn't learn from my mistake. A few
weeks later, she posted up her want list, and I thought that I had
something from there..an unaired pilot called Stroller Wars. Well...I
made a mistake..sue me..I confused it with Soccer Moms..both 2 words,
first word beginning with S, second word both 4 letters, both having to
do with mothers...i guess i wasn't thinking and mixed them up. By the
time, i realized, i had already made heredvd. So, me being the honest
trader I am, I emailed her, apologized, said I will make an extra
tripto the Post Office(as I was already going that day)to mail her's
alone, with an extra dvd of her choice.I wanted to correct my mistake.
For a week, after numerous emails, I never heard back from her, though
i did see her on the boards posting. Why would she ignore me? Finally
after all this time, I figured she wasn't emailing me back for whatever
reason, and gave her two uniared pilots she did not have..because of my
mistake.


Well, finally today she emails me, stating that she had not been
online, which is a lie because I have seen her posting on the boards.
She, in response, changed her story regarding that. In any case,
when I told her I mailed her something else..she flipped out on me
through an email...claiming that I did it on purpose and then sent here
something she did not want. Se called me a liar and that I was out to
get free dvds from herand that I knew that I never had Stroller Wars. I
have made hundreds of successful trades with people, including her (by
sending here what she wanted in our first trade)...why would i
jeapordize my reputation with her or anyone over 1 pilot that i could
get frome somebody else..with both left and right audios working!


Again, being the good trader I am, I still, after here verbal attack on
me, offered to send her ANOTHER DISC of what ever she wants for her
trouble, and it still is not good enough! She called me abad trader
because of this ordeal..bad trader? BAD TRADER? Quite the contrary, I
am trying to make this situation right. Are we not allowed to make
mistakes every now and then? Well, KAT..you should know about
mistakes..at least I am willing to correct mine. Now watch, she'll
probably make a bad trader report on me. Isn't this rediculous? And
still, I'll send her another disc of what she wants to make good on
this.
Some trades are just not worth the trouble...

a suggestion

i have people at times who have no sound on some discs, or one speaker sound

i know the discs to be in proper working order, since i can play them fine on my equipment

it could be in how ones surround sound system is set up, a few fiddles with some settings and many times the problem goes away

i recently got a negative form a person on my car 54 set

i told them what to try and they though i was makeing a story up to confuse the issue, so they dropped a neagtive on me,

as it turns out they contacted a friend of mine to buy another set,and they trashed me out to him

as it turns out, he also had my car 54 set and told them the same thing--the problem went away


in this case she may well have had a loose audio channel rca cord and missed a full half the sound--perhaps

but its worth a try if you havent already tried that

easiest thing is to plug the dvd player into a input that bypasses the surround

Thank you for your input. I do appreciate any help regarding the audio situation.
However, I am sorry for not being clear.. I don't have a surround sound setup. I meant that I have a stereo television..it's an HD Ready tv with 2 speakers on the set. So, the dvd player is going directly into the television.
Also, I have played the discs on multiple dvd players with different tv sets..and the problem still exists. Only 1 of the titles on one of the discs have both left and right audio. All the other titles on the disc and the others have only one. I highly doubt, since it was such a wide variety of material on the discs, that it came from one person originally. My guess is that after recording one title, something happened with the loose wire, and now she doesn't want to go through the trouble of looking into the problem or fixing it.

Also, I do want you to know that if this was the only problem, I wouldn't leave negative feedback. It isn't a big enough issue for me. It is what occurred in the second trade that made me do it.
