All of the cast members are still living, with the exception of Fred Gwynne, who passed away about 10 years ago. His last performance was in the movie "My Cousin Vinnie", in which he played the judge. There was a lot of speculation that he would win the Oscar for "Best Supporting Actor" for that role, but unfortunately, that did not come to pass.

Regarding Al Lewis ("Grandpa"), he is in his 90s, and as someone else mentioned, still active. A couple of years ago, he ran as the Green Party candidate for Governor of New York State against George Pataki.
