Default For Those Of You Who Have Seen Three's A Crowd...

Do you think the show is anything like Three's Company, or is it totally different? I've never seen the show, but being a huge John Ritter fan, I'm very interested in seeing it.

It's a lot like Three's Company. A lot of zany plots and still has the Three's Company feeling with Jack's Bistro. Many people don't know, but it was a pretty decent rated show, too. Not a bomb at all, ABC just decided to not renew it and renew Diff'rent Strokes from NBC instead.

Thanks for the info Pav. I heard that it was a good show, but like you said, they dropped it to renew Diff'rent Strokes, which ran way past it's experation date, if you ask me. I hope that Anchor Bay will put both Three's A Crowd and The Ropers on DVD when they finish Three's Company.

If I had my own network back then, I would air the 1985-1986 season with 22 episodes.

It was an ok show, but if if you are expecting Three's Company part two, you will be disappointed.

It was a good show. Much better than a lot of sitcoms today. I liked how Jack played off Mr. Bradford. I wasn't wild about Vicky although she was very pretty. It wasn't no where in the league of Three's Company though.

Well it was entertaining because Jack was in the show. It wasn't as good as Three's Company but very watchable. If you would be willing to send me a Blank Tape and Postage fee, i can copy a ep for you.

I saw the first episode when TV Land aired it for John Ritter rememberd marathon in 2003 and I was a little dissapointed with it. A lot of the times first episodes are not that good because everyone is new and every character was just starting to develop so that might be the case for the first Three's A Crowd. It was not bad it was just not great. I did like seeing Jack have a surfer named EZ for an assistant chef and he was sort of funny. I taped it and rewatched again last year, and I think I will rewatch it again.

That episode was not one of the best.

TV LAND made a another DUMB decision when they did this tribute in 2003. To me it would have made more sense to air the episode when Larry made a Guest appearance. Those in charge of programming at TV LAND never use their brain.-lol

Default OK show, but had one of the best Jack Tripper episodes ever

"Three's A Crowd" was an okay show, particularly for those who needed their Jack Tripper fix. Felipe made an appearance very now and then, which was great. However, the co-star who played Vicki had no chemistry with John Ritter and was completely unfunny. I think she's the reason for the show's poor showing.

However, there was one episode of "Three's A Crowd" which ranks up there, in my opinion, as one of John Ritter's best physical comedy performances (next to his riotous drunk dance in the "Three's Company" episode "Up in the Air".) That episode of "Three's A Crowd" was called "A Case of Sour Grapes," I believe, and in it, Jack Tripper has to work as a Benihana-style hibachi chef, flicking shrimp tails into his chef's pocket and whatnot. It's very funny.

Fellipe never made a apperance on Three's a Crowd. The only Three's Company character to make an apperance on Three's a Crowd was Larry.

It was a HORRIBLE show. When I lived in Minnesota and our local station would reair it, I watched them all... then the next time around I would switch to something more entertaining.... like a test pattern.
