Default How Come Bo & Luke Always Wore The Same Shirts?

Every episode i noticed that Bo & Luke always wore the same shirts. Luke always wore a blue checkered shirt & Bo always wore a brown shirt. Uncle Jesse always wore the same overalls also LOL. What's up with that?

Yeah, that had to suck the big one. Poor Bo and Luke.

I notice that several other shows did that. Look at the characters on Bonanza and Gunsmoke. They always had the same thing on unless they were dressed up for a special event. Apparently they had more than one, because if they got in a fight and ripped a shirt or something, they had a new one on just like it later. I can understand why the Skipper, Professor, and Gilligan wore the same thing, but I am amazed at how their clothes always looked new. Anyway, I think the reason for it is that once producers determined what clothes looked good on a character, it kinda became their costume, like with Superman. Bo and Luke looked best in those clothes just as Adam Cartwright looked best in black. That's just my opinion.

They always wore the same clothes, I also wondered about that. The only one that ever seemed to change clothing was Daisy. Uncle Jesse wore the same overalls and shirt and so did Bo & Luke. Cooter always had the same dirty clothes and he was always dirty. The pants that Bo wore looked like mom pants. The waistline was high and they looked like female pants.

The show probably didn't have much of a clothing budget because they had to spend it all on the cars!!!

That's an excellent point Monika! I'm sure they spent a large portion of the budget on cars!
