Question Laverne and Shirley and Lenny and Squigy

If Laverne and Shirley got married to Lenny and Squigy who would marry who? What kind of wedding would they have? What would they wear? What would the cake look like? Who would the priest be? Post what you think!!

Laverne might marry Lenny, but Shirley would rather gouge out her own reproductive organs with a spoon than allow Squiggy to even THINK of procreating with her!

I'm sorry, I just can't do it. I have a pretty stretchy imagination, but I can't stretch it that far! Uh... let's see...

Only way I could think of it happening would be if one of Lenny's reletives died, and the only way he could inherit the millions of dollars is if he is married. Lenny goes lookig for anyone who will marry him, but can't find anyone. Things happen, wacky hijinks ensue, and Laverne agrees to marry Lenny on the condition that Lenny open a dance studio for Carmine.

...On a side note, is it just me, or did every 3rd episode of L&S deal with trying to get money so Carmine could open a dance school or a studio? Well, it's my favorite L&S plot device, so I appologize for over-using it.

Since Lenny knows he's going to inherrit Millions of dollars, he goes all out on the wedding and hires professional wedding planner... a huge beautiful church, an incredible wedding dress, and a stunning tuxedo are just part of the extravagance! Flowers everywhere! Suiggy is the best man, Shirley is the maid of honor. Carmine sings a sappy song to entertain the guests (which include cameo appearances form many cast members of Happy Days, including Fonzie).

The wedding march plays, and... Laverne is no where to be found! THe wedding march starts up again, and still no Laverne! Lenny goes to see what's wrong. He finds Laverne in a dressing room, crying because she doesn't think she can go through with this because she isn't in love with him. Lenny comforts her and tells her that she doesn't have to get married to him, and he'll just keep on looking for that special someone. Then he starts telling her about how much he cares about her, and how he is closer to her than he has ever been with any other woman, and they kiss. A long, passionate kiss. Laverne decides that she IS in love with Lenny, and then SHE proposes to HIM! Hooray! They rush hand in hand to make it out to the chapel where everyone is waiting, bu tthe door to the dressing room somehow got locked!

LENNY: "Well, it looks like we're stuck here..."

LAVERNE: "...And there's no one I would rather be stuck with."

...And they continue to kiss.

After the commercial, Lenny and Laverne have made their way out of the locked dressing room, and the wedding begins. When they come to the "If anyone knows any reason why these two should not be joined in holy matrimony, let them speak now or forever hold their peace", all of the guests raise their hands. Lavberne turns around and tells everyone to knock it off, and they slowly out their hands down. They get hitched, and everyone can tell by the way they kiss at the end of the ceremony that they are really in love. As the cheers of the audience die down, a man in a business suit approaches Lenny and introduces himself as the executor of Lenny's Dead relatives will, and he has the inheritance check right there! Lenny looks at the check, and says "Hey... I thought this was going to be MILLIONS of dollars! Did you maybe forget a couple of Oh's on the end here?"

The executor explains that after taxes and funeral costs, this was all that was left. Still a nice amount of money, though! Just then, the Professional Wedding Planner happens to be looking over Lenny's shoulder and says "That will be just enough to cover the cost of the wedding!" and yanks the check from Lenny's hand.

The slow, "Here's-the-moral-of-the-story" music starts playing.

Lenny grabs a chair and sits down with a bewildered look on his face, mouth wide open. Laverne comes over to comfort him, and rubs his shoulders as he cries. She tries to tell him that it's not that bad, but he explains that since he doesn't hav ethe money, he can't afford Carmine's Dance Studio. "So I guess that breaks our deal, huh?"

Laverne gives Lenny a big hug and says that the old deal doesn't matter any more, becuase she has a more important deal to live up to now... a deal with her new husband! They hug, and roll credits.

Whew! THat was difficult! So what do you think?

I think it's perfect! Hilarious! (Yeah every 3rd ep is about carmine getting a dance studio) I love it! You really have a way with words! HEHEHE! That is great! Sounds like a typical L&S Ep!

Thank you, thank you... See? I should be writing sit-coms! I have the talent! All I need is an "in"... I need to figure out how you get hired to do such stuff! And when I do, you'll see my little piece of Comedy Gold on every Friday night at 8:30... Maybe I should start posting my original ideas here on the message board? That way I have a sort of public record of the fact that these where *MY* ideas... what do you think?

Yeah thats a good idea! You would be a great sitcom writter! I wonder how you do get to do that stuff. I think it would be hard but you could probably do it! You should post your ideas on here that way no one can steal your ideas (how many times have we seen that on sitcoms?).

There was only 1 or two episodes dealing with Carmine getting money for his dance studio, the dance studio is just mentioned in almost all of them. Anyway, it's a great story silentbri! And I don't know whether you mentioned who the priest was or not, but Father Delvecchio was Laverne and Sal Molena's priest when they got as far as the rehearsal wedding... ::Sniffle:: I just love Laverne and Lenny stories. (you people should go to hhtp://lennysquiggy.tvheaven.com Lone Wolfette has a ton of fanfiction, and in one series, Laverne and Lenny get married). I've never been able to master the Laverne-Lenny concept. I have one fanfic where Carmine proposes to Shirley but she says she just met someone and they're getting married (the feared Walter Meeney) then the phone rings and Carmine leaves a note saying he's leaving town and on the phone it's Walter saying he can't marry Shirl and she turns around and sees the note. Then we see Carmine on a buse writing a letter to Shirley yadayadayada...cut to two years later when they're preparing for Laverne and Lenny's wedding and Carmine comes in and sees the dress and thinks it's Shirley's and it's all sorted out and they get engaged. It was my first fanfic, and considering that, it was pretty good. But it still sucked. My best one would be when they moved to Chicago even though it got kind of out of the character.... I'll shut up now.

------------------
"Well, Laverne is sort of childish"

"Childish? Childish? COming from a grown woman who throws tea parties for her stuffed cat!"

"Well at least I don't sew L's on everything I wear!"

"Well that would be pretty stupid considering your name's Shirley!"

Wow... that's spooky, LS... I almost wrote something like that in to my original draft of the wedding! While Lenny and Laverne are trapped in the dressing room, the minister tells Shirley that he has another apointment right after this ceremony, and if a bride and groom don't show up soon, the wedding will have to go on without a minister! Carmine then proposes to Shirley right then, and it's all wrapped up with him saying one of those long, boring "Why I love You" speaches, followed up with "And besides, we don't want to waste a perfectly good wedding service, do we?"

So just as the bridal march starts with Shirley coming down the isle, Laverne shows up and walks down the isle next to Shirley. They argue back and forth (quietly) about who's wedding it is, but once they make it to the pulpit, everything is forgotten and they have a great big double ceremony. Then, for their honeymoon, they go and stay on the survivor island... and bring along Squiggy, Frank, and Edna (readers of the L&S board knwo what I'm talking about )

I think Laverne and Squiggy would get married, 'cause they're both wild childs! And Lenny and Shirley, 'cause they have sorta the same nice personality
