In the episode where Jason plays with Bobby Biggalow and the Haystack Gang, he gets paid $3.50 per show. In the two shows they portrayed during this episode, the band played in a barn with about 20-25 patrons. There were 2 other guys in the band besides Jason and Bobby. Assuming that Bobby made the most money and the other 2 guys made at least as much as Jason, then how would this work financially? They would have had to charge each patron around a dollar to attend. I think it costs 5-10 cents to see a movie at that time; could they really have charged a dollar to go to a barn dance? And if they did, how did the entire Walton family attend when we know they didn't have that kind of money to throw away on entertainment? (assuming Jason didn't get them a free pass).
