Default Was there a different opening every season?

I know there were several different openings of credits for ODAAT. My favorite is probably the original when they are outside their old place packing up the station wagon and driving into the city. I can remember them going into the apartment and plopping down tired on the sheet covered sofa while Valerie Bertinelli was dribbling a basketball.

I also remember one opening where VB is setting the timer on a camera and she rushes into the camera range just in time as the the flash goes off.

How many other different openings were there because I don't remember. Experts?

There were 8. The one with Valerie taking the picture was from the 2nd abd 3rd seasons (the episodes in year 2 after Richard Masur left, the ones with him had the same moving scenes as year 1). After that they had different openings in each season with scenes of the actors taken from particular episodes. Years 4 through 7 have these scenes along with painted portraits of the actors that morph into shots of the actors. Also, except for years 3 and 4 the actors who are official regulars changes in every season with Bonnie Franklin, Valerie Bertinelli and Pat Harrington being the only ones on in all 9 years.

I can't remember the morphing portraits at all. It would probably hit me if I get a chance to see them again.

I have a CBS ep from the 81-82 season with opening credits featuring the Indianapolis Highway

And the eps I have from the 78-79 season has the opening credits ending with VB ajusting the camera and then getting in the picture

And the 79-80 season opening credits has the morphing of the characters portraits.

At the beginning of the 79-80 season, for just the first couple of episodes, there is an opening with the morphing, but in the background, it shows various outdoors spots in Indianapolis. Anyone remember this opening? Not that it was a great opening, but I wonder why they changed it after only a couple of airings.
