What do you think about the real life age difference between Sherman Hemsley and Isabel Sanford. Isabel is now 84 years old and Sherman is 63.

I never knew that while the show was on, that is amazing. She looks atleast 20 years younger than she really is.

oh yes, the same thing with the ages, also
happened with john amos, and esther rolle
of good times she was way older then him, but
at the time it blend in very well

Actually, I just found this out myself the other day, and I was speechless! What someone said above is right, she DOES look at least twenty years younger than she really is! You know, in the show Louise is actually about a year or so younger than George, isn't she??? I could have easily believed, until I found this out, that it was the same way in real life with Sherman Hemsely and Isabel Sanford. Wouldn't you like to be as pretty and as active when you're her age???!!! She's really something!!!

I found that out too.I couldn't believe it!!!!She looks younger than him!I thought it was a mistake.I can't believe that Florence is 70 now either!

Not only is Sherman Hemsley 21 years younger than Isabelle Sanford, but he is only 11 years older that Mike Evans, the original Lionel Jefferson.

I'm trying to figure out whether to interpret that isabel/mike/Marla looked younger or whther sherman looked older.

Anyway, I can't beleive their acutal ages were that.

I heard about the age difference some years ago. The first thing I thought was that Sherman Hemsley lies about his age. He looked older than 30 something when he started playing George. Isabel Sanford looks incredible and beautiful! 84, WOW!
