Default Girl abducted while at pay phone

Her name was Angela Hammond and I found an article from '04 about some bones they are testing to see if they are hers. I also emailed that newspaper and asked if the bones were hers (since the dna testing has probably been completed by now) but haven't got a response yet. Here's the link:

Cool, keep us posted if the newspaper responds to your e-mail as I'm very interested myself to know if it was her or not.

Wow, I actually got a response from the newspaper within 30 minutes! Here is what he said.

No. The sheriff's department said in July that three DNA tests had failed to find a match with any known missing person.

Thanks for writing.

My pleasure! I actually emailed the guy back to ask him if there were any leads or suspects in the case that I could share. This was his reply:

I don't think so. We had a reporter who followed the case regularly for more than 10 years. He changed careers a year ago but I don't think there are any clues about what happened to her. Her name comes up whenever there are old bones found in the area.

That's a shame.

One day they will find out what happened to her, I'm sure of it.

That segment has the most chillin aspect. Her boyfriend heard the killer say "I didn't need to use the phone anyway".

I know, that freaked me out to.

The guy they got to play the abductor really looked the part, didn't he?

I can't even imagine how her boyfriend must've felt when his station wagon crapped out on him while he was in persuit(sp?) of the suspect. He must've felt so helpless and pissed at the same time I assume. I really do hope they find her remains oneday.

Default I'm willing to bet money

and in my mind the solution of this case lies with Ken McDuff's likely abduction and murder of Ms. Hammond. I would further like to state that the chances of Angela Hammond still being alive are very slim although it is odd that McDuff never confessed to her murder yet has to several others. Definatley a creepy case but one in my mind that is at least somewhat resolved. Of course this is all my opinion based on the information learned on the case from the internet and other sources.

Later.

I agree with DarkDante. Kenneth MacDuff is most likely responsible for this disgusting attrocity. He was known to be in the area at the time. He committed the car wash abduction murder of Coleen Reed also profiled on unsolved mysteries around the same time and area.

Kenneth MacDuff is guilty of this murder. We should put it to rest.

i hate to say it, mercy, but i don't think we can just decide macduff was guilty of this murder. he may have been, he may not. but there is no hard evidence he committed the crime.

he didn't confess to it, although he did to many others. also, police could find no link between the truck used in the murder and macduff, afaik.

Now that's some common sense. Isolating one individual, no matter who it is, as the culprit is a monumental longshot. Let's just say I know plenty of Las Vegas gamblers who would eagerly wager every cent they own on the field, in a MacDuff or anybody else scenario. And they would have much the best of it.
