Default BREAKING NEWS!! Grenade Thrown at President Bush in Georgia

During a speech... it was unexploded. It is UNCLEAR if he was the target(Georgia is a Former Soviet Republic and has some major problems), but apparently the Secret Service weren't alerted until 2 hours after the incident.

Default BREAKING NEWS!! Grenade Thrown at Bush in Georgia

Grenade Thrown at Bush in Georgia, No One Hurt
Secret Service Says Device Did Not Go Off

ABC NEWS

Tuesday, May 10, 2005

A grenade was thrown within 100 feet of the stage where President Bush was giving a speech today in the former Soviet republic of Georgia, local authorities told the U.S. Secret Service.

The device did not go off and no one was hurt, the Secret Service said.

Local police told the Secret Service the device was thrown as Bush spoke in Freedom Square in Tblisi, the Georgian capital. The device hit someone and fell to the ground about 100 feet away from the stage, the Secret Service said.

The Secret Service said it was unaware of any disturbance until it was informed of the incident by Georgian police.

Now Georgian officials are denying it... What is the real story here?

Apparently the Secret Service didn't find out until 2 hours later so obviously it wasn't too serious since the stage he was on would have been surrounded by officials.

I'm not downplaying this, but when I first saw the headline, I thought, so someone through a grenade at a small, stubby tree!!

Then I saw it was "President" Bush.

It's nice to know the Secret Service was on top of the situation the whole time! Bush must sleep so well at night with the conviction that they are on the job!

webwarriror:
you are really really odd.

she made a joke because she misread the headline and thought someone was throwing a grendade at a BUSH... as in those big green things that are like trees but way shorter. But you do'nt see that. Instead all you see is that she wishes the president was dead, and is even in celebration of it.

it's sad to see someone who could honsetly have a lot of potential to bring a lot of people to Christ with their knowledge, ruin their potential by being a pharaises (sp?)
