Now that summer is approaching, I thought I'd start a thread about which songs make you think of summer, and which of them you like.
Here's some for me: "Summer in the City" - Lovin' Spoonful "Summer Nights" - John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John "If You're Going to San Francisco (Be Sure to Wear Sunflowers in Your Hair)" - Scott McKenzie "Summer Breeze" - First sung by Seals and Crofts, then covered by the Isley Brothers. "Midnight at the Oasis" - Maria Muldaur "Under the Boardwalk" - The Drifters "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" - Otis Redding "What Becomes of the Broken-Hearted" - Jimmy Ruffin "When a Man Loves a Woman" - Percy Sledge "Soul Man" - Sam and Dave (The last three remind me of summer because I first heard them during the summertime.) So which songs remind you of summer? Which summer songs do you like? I personally like all of those I've listed above, what about the rest of you?

Joe Satriani - Summer Song
Judas Priest - Desert Plains (pretty much anything off that album) Ozzy - A Shot in the Dark (actually anything by Ozzy seems like a good summer song to me)

A few more that I thought of for myself:
"Horse With No Name" - America "Tin Man" - America "Ventura Highway" - America "Muskrat Love" - America My mother has an album of some of America's best songs, so that's where I got them from. Those four are my favourite songs on the album. |
