Default Poor Editing of Episodes in syndication

Does anyone elese agree that it seems like the most comical scenes are CUT in syndication. I dont have a problem with a shorter episode but atleast leave the funny scenes. So for those of you who watch sitcoms on

N@N
TV LAND
ABC Family
TBS
Lifetime

Let me know if you feel the same about certain shows you watched?

I feel that way about some shows, especially about a certain episode of Family Ties where Elyse was filming the Proper Penguin commercial. There was a scene in there where she screws up and it was so funny, but it was cut from syndication.

TVLand and N@N are horrible when it comes to editing Three's Company, as I'm sure we all know. There are definately some scenes that SHOULD be cut out, whereas the good stuff is usually cut out(which makes no sense)

Honestly I can't compare... I don't have original airings on tape, but with DVD's out of All in the Family and coming of Roseanne(two shows in syndication), I can compare and see how bad it is.

Yeah, I can speak for Lifetime and say that they cut things up pretty badly, too. There's an episode of "The Nanny" that includes a hilarious scene of Fran and Maxwell in the hot tub together, and they cut it. Strangely, though, they left it there in a flashback episode later on.

Plus, I can see from my "Golden Girls" season 1 DVD that they cut some good stuff from there, too.

Most episodes are already cut down for syndication when the network gets them. It's things like inserting a commerical where they don't belong(*cough* ABC Family) that is annoying even worse...
