Yes, I remember that. I also remember years ago when they showed them at 2 in the afternoon on Sundays. UM doesn't really scare me but I remember lying in bed late one night watching the Jeanne Tovary case. The first thing they show is her lying in her bed (like I was) and some guy walking up and shooting her. That was pretty creepy!

I always liked seeing UM real late at night, but only if it was the old episodes. I always hated turning it on and seeing the Dolly the Sheep story. Ooh, creepy!
It would be nice if Lifetime re-ran the 12 and 1 episodes late at night, for those of us who work during the day, or missed them. |

I remember a really bizarre one where this guys wife went missing and he was the main suspect, and there were letters mailed to the cops tellig them the lake he dumped her in but they never found her
and then the update comes up and says that he caught his girlfriend cheating on him, killed her and the guy she was with, then killed himself, and that it was obvious that he must've killed his wife too to the case is basically closed anyone remember that story? from the half-hour episodes?

Thats the Doreen Marfeo case you're referring to. I don't remember anything about a lake (maybe its just me) but I remember the police having letters talking about what happened to her and they said the letters were typed on a typewriter belonging to a family member of Stephen Marfeo's. Also they brought in a psycholinguistics expert who said he thought Stephen wrote the letters. I'm sure I'm not in the minority here but I think the husband killed her.

The best thing about the 2am half hours is that they showed stories they wouldn't normally show during the 8:00 slot like the Tara Calico and Keith Reinhard cases. I saw both back in the day.

I also remember when they would show Unsolved Mysteries on Lifetime every night at 8:00 p.m.
crystaldawn - that's pretty freaky of you watching the Jeanne Tovrea case in bed of all places. Hopefully you could still sleep that night. ![]() |

I remember one night watch USM and one of the sketch and composites looked like an assistant principal at my high school!!!!
Scared the crap out of me!!!! Only, thank goodness, it wasn't her. They found the real person. But the resemblence was eerie! Anyone else have a similar experience. Like the sketch or composite looks like a person you know? |
