Default Reruns Coming to Lifetime in Sept. 2006

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Lifetime Television has acquired exclusive cable reun rights to the CBS comedy "Still Standing," which stars Jami Gertz and Mark Addy as a married couple grappling with the stresses of parenthood.

It will debut on the women's cable network in September 2006. Lifetime said it plans to air the sitcom several times a day on weekdays, with two episodes likely to air back-to-back in a one-hour block alongside "Reba," another recent acquisition that debuts on the network a month beforehand.

The "Standing" and "Reba" deals follows on the heels of other Lifetime acquisitions including "Frasier," which debuts in March 2006, and "Will & Grace," which debuts in September. But that doesn't mean that Lifetime stalwart "The Golden Girls" is leaving the network anytime soon.

"Viewers love 'The Golden Girls'; it belongs on Lifetime," said Leslie Glenn-Chesloff, senior vp planning, scheduling and acquisitions at Lifetime Entertainment Services.

Wow.

Doesnt seem much like Lifetime material, but I'll definetly watch the reruns on there.

I would assume since they state "reruns" it would be Syndication...

I think Miss Golden means local syndication, not cable.

Too bad CBS could not bring back Still Standing for the 2006-2007 Season! With reruns of earlier episodes now on Lifetime, it may have given the show a kick start that could have given the show a much longer run on CBS!
