This car is supposed to be a Jetta, but it's unlike any Jetta I've ever seen! It's definitely a Volkswagen, though.

Turns out the Jetta coupe pictured above is a custom-made VW produced by putting a Jetta's turnk and rear window on the back of a GTI. VW didn't approve of this, but it's still a cool experiment.

The most burning question of all time. How many circus clowns fit into a Volkswagon?

Cool, huh?

How come Brazil gets the better Volkswagens?

Beats me, maybe VW takes South America more seriously than North America. Though, in fairness, the Karmann Ghia TC wasn't sold in Europe either.

And neither we nor the Europeans ever got this one, as well!

A Volkswagen Jetta station wagon!

Added to the Jetta lineup during the fourth generation, it's been sold as a Golf overseas.

Cool VW Vanagon

The sixties had the original VW Microbus, the seventies had the second-generation, single-windshield Bus, and the eighties got the VW Vanagon! THis is a 1985 model.

The Vanagon - its name is an obvious cross of "van" and "wagon" - was more angularly styled than the previous Transporters but actually more aerodynamic. Despite its sharp looks and quirky engineering (it still had a rear-mounted aircooled engine), the Vanagon never really caught on, and it was almost completely forgotten when Chrysler introduced its first minivans in 1984. The Vanagon lasted through 1992.
