I always love Volkswagen, because I love the Disney's "Love Bug" movies. I have the movies "The Love Bug", "Herbie Rides Again", "Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo", "Herbie Goes Bananas" and "The Love Bug '97". Here is the picture of Herbie.

Perhaps it would be more appropriate to recognize the mighty '66-'71 Mopar 426-Hemi...

Cool The original GTI!

The Golf GTI was first introduced in Europe in the mid-seventies, with a top speed of 140 mph. It came here in the early egihties as the Rabbit GTI. Here's a pic of the European version - note right-hand drive!

Cool The Rabbit!

The original Golf was named the Rabbit in North America to give it a cute, cuddly image. (The Golf name is short for Golf-Strom, the German word for Gulf Stream.) Here is a 1980 model with its proud owner.

The Rabbit GTI was introduced as a 1983 model and was available for only two years before the all-new second-generation GTI was introduced. Here is a classic 1984 Rabbit GTI.

Cool On Dasher!

Remember the Dasher? It was Volkswagen's family car, introduced as a 1974 model and continued through 1981. It was VW's first front-wheel drive vehicle.

Yes, and it was based on an Audi Fox. Hey, here's an unusual Volkswagen for you people. It's a Volkswagen "T" Concept.

The Volkswagen Type 3 Fastback sedan - probably the most underrated VW of all time!

Dr. Porsche designed them, and he wasn't a Nazi. The Nazis only built a couple hundred of VW's - it was the British who got the company going after the war!

Here's a V-Dub the Nazis certainly didn't design:

The 1980 Volkswagen Scirocco!
