Hello all,
Just wondering something. Once Season 10 of Friends comes out, does anyone know if WB will continue on with releases of Joey, even if the show is cancelled after one season? I'm not saying it's definitely on death row, but it is a fact that it hasn't been doing nearly as well as NBC hoped. I'm thinking we'll at least get a second season and then if things don't improve ratings-wise, NBC will pull the plug. Naturally, I hope Joey has a long life. But worse case scenario. Let's say Joey is cancelled after this season. Do you think we'll get a DVD release of the show once Friends Season 10 is released? I know it's only a spin-off, and I'm not as enamored with the show as I was with Friends, but I don't think my collection would be complete with a DVD release of Joey. What say any of you? What do you want to happen? What do you think will happen and, do you think Joey will see release on DVD, even if it is short-lived? Ed

This should really should have stayed in the Joey thread, as it barely relates to Friends at all.

Sorry if I'm breaking some rule of yours or this site, but I figured since there's an obvious connection to the show, and since the activity on this board has crawled to a snail's pace since Friends went off the air, I thought it'd be beneficial to bring the topic here. I for one wasn't aware that there was a message board for Joey until about a month or so ago, and I figured it might be the same with other fans of Joey as well. Either way, I wanted input and insight into my question, and bringing it to both boards was a way to insure that I'd get that. Again, sorry if a rule was broken, but I don't think any harm came from it. And I think once the cast of Friends makes appearances on Joey, you'll see mention of Joey here more often. Two different shows, but the continuity does tie in to both shows. There's more relevance than you think I'd say. Ed |

That's cool, no big deal. Just pointing it out.
And yeah, I know there's relevance to Friends, being that Joey is a spinoff of it, but on this site, spinoffs are categorized as if there was no connection, for the benefit of Joey fans who have never seen Friends and vice versa. Since the question relates primarily to Joey the show, it goes in the Joey section. Anything pertaining to Joey the character, however, is free game. It'd probably be better to just post it in one place next time, either Friends or Joey, because we tend to frown on spamming, accidental or otherwise. ![]() |

I'm more concerned with Bright Kauffman Crane's other show, Veronica's Closet to be released. I think it has a good chance since Kirstie Alley is on the cover of every magazine these days! I loved this show- almost more then Friends.
