Happy Birthday John Mayall!
British blues musician John Mayall, leader of the Bluesbreakers and discoverer of great guitarists like Eric Clapton, Mick Taylor, and Peter Green (not to mention most of the rest of the original Fleetwood Mac), is 71 today. His Bluebreakers with Eric Clapton album, in addition to including future Fleetwood Mac bassist John McVie, made Clapton a star and provoked "CLAPTON IS GOD" graffiti in London.
