Don't ask me why, but I LOVE "Less Than Perfect"....and I couldn't tell you why if my life depended on it!
Most of the other sitcoms that I'm a fan of (mostly older series like "Wings", "Cheers", "Frasier", "Barney Miller", "Seinfeld", etc.) have a reason that I can pinpoint for liking them....good writing, good casts, etc....but "Less Than Perfect" doesn't seem to be particularly strong in ANY of those departments, and yet I REALLY enjoy watching the show! I just CAN'T figure it out...but it DOES make me laugh! |

I think the strength of this series is the chemistry between the cast members. In fact the chemistry is so strong that they were able to add two cast members(Will Sasso and Patrick Warburton) and not disrupt that chemistry.

The chemistyry is great, but alot of it has to do with the fact that they look like they're having fun, which is a rareity.

You know, now that you mention it, I think that IS why I like the show so much. I get the same feeling watching "Less Than Perfect" that I get watching reruns of "Wings". Nobody is acting like, "OK people, we're going for an EMMY nomination with this "very special" episode" or "OK, we're going to get serious and ACT now!". It's just a group of talented people having a relaxed, funny good time....and while they're trying to put on a good show, nobody seems to be taking themselves TOO seriously. |

I first started watching the show because of Andy Dick. It's one of the few funny sitcoms on today. I'd have to agree with the point about them having fun. To me, it's just a half hour with funny characters that help me escape the troubles of my day. I'm really enjoying it being on Fridays. Since I get the weekends off, it's nice to finish my work week with "Less Than Perfect." ABC clearly saves the best for last with TGIF.
Yeah, it's a show that just tries to make you laugh. I'm also glad they brought back Owen's moms, played by Joanna Kearns and Valerie Harper. I'm also glad it was the same actresses playing them. A lot of times in sitcoms, they'll recast roles like that or just forget about them completely.

For example this past week when Lydia was talking to Kip about killing Jeb's grandma. Claude asks, "What did you do?" Lydia glandes non chalantly over her shoulder and says "Oh, I killed Jeb's grandma." The look and Sarah Rue's face was priceless, and of you noticed in the background, she walked back to her desk and continued to look over at the two with the same perplexed look on her face. It was hilarious

I agree, there's just something about LTP that makes me feel good, you can tell they're having fun that they all get along great, that one isn't trying to outshine the rest.
It's my favorite TGIF show, and in alot ways reminds me of Wings.

I've caught a few episodes and this show is really funny! I first started watching because of Will Sasso, and I've just become addicted. I wish I was home on friday nights more often to catch it.
