I've noticed that some messages have analyzed what might have happened to some of the "Old One Two" characters and where they might have gone. I've been wondering why Barney Miller hasn't put together a reunion movie a long time ago. It's been about twenty years since the series ended.
As far as a premise, it could involve a ceremony promoting Lt. Wojciehowicz to Captain. Or it could be having the cast come together for the service of the passing of one of whichever character decided he wouldn't sign on to do the reunion. Or maybe they would gather to support for Fish in attending a service for his wife Bernice. It could be based on Ron Harris organizing a 20th year reunion to bring his former associates together. Each member could share what has happened since they left, some memories recalled from their days together, etc. At some point Ron, who has since gone from author to Hollywood television writer, reveals to them a new project he has proposed and a network liked (pilot script) based on his days in police work in the 12th Precinct(?). Or it could simply be a gathering of some cast members reflecting on the series with favorite clips. There are plenty of options or combinations that could be used. Does anyone on this site know who we would have to contact to have a Reunion considered? Thanks for any info or ideas. |

All of those are great ideas. Unfortunately, I wouldn't even know where to get started as far as whom to contact to make something like this happen. Something would have to happen to spark public interest in the show, after all it's been 20 years and the show has been largely forgotten by the mainstream. Some kind of Barney Miller revival in order for the ones who could make it happen to take notice would have to take place. I hope it would happen soon since time is passing by... We already lost James Gregory... If there's anyone with the knowhow as to how to make this happen, please count me in to help out with what I could! ![]() maclen

I don't think it would take much. Lately, all you've been seeing are reunion specials left and right.

I think the place to start would be to contact the network that originally aired the series. In this case I believe that would be ABC. Perhaps a letter writing campaign or an e-mail campaign might get their attention.
