Default can i just ask a question?

Why are there no political threads allowed. It is more of an interesteing topic and more important topic than "what was the last thing you ate"???? Stupid & inane topics that some people make up on here.

Because people get into fights on the board over politics. We had a political board for awhile, that didn't go well at all.

Sometimes. Other times people were just getting at each others throats over politics.

They are allowed, you just have to know how to do it. Just keep posting things like..., oh, articles and such, that indirectly state your political viewpoint. But you wouldn't want to be a sneaky little weasel, would you?
If you do, I'm sure there are people on this board who could help you.

personally i think that politics should be allowed, but not extremely often. Like its ok once in a while to post political stuff but not every day. Every1 seems to really overreact about it.

And they pull me behind, as I let off the pedal.
Why should I divide what feels so right?
Is this where I want to lay?

but what really makes me pissed is when people yell at others for posting political things and then they themselves do. i've seen that happen a good number of times.

TJ has kindly agreed to allow political statements in our avatars and signatures. That's more than you would get at any other non-political site. If people want to express their political sentiments, take advatage of that avenue.

Peter, the no politics rule is TJ's policy. If you PM him, I'm sure he will explain his reasons.

Well, not really. Because [with the exception of the election thread at first] no matter what, people get in fights. I'm surprised the election thread lasted that long.
