Just curious, why didn't you like the first 3 seasons of AITF? I admit, season 1 seems a bit dated, but I did like the interactions between Archie and George Jefferson and of course the Meathead. I only own season 1 so far, but i'm considering getting season 2 to see how MAUDE got started.

George didn't Arrived until season 4. I would watch all seasons of AITF on DVD but only would pay for seasons 4-7. I would have to do a DVD Trade in order to see the first three seasons on DVD. I don;'t like them that much to buy them.

I can understand you not liking seasons 1 and 3 enough to buy them on dvd but I thought season 2 was great lots of classic episodes in season 2.

Anyways, I would buy the first 6 seasons on dvd.

I just bought seasons 2 & 3 over the weekend. I have no plans to buy season 1 yet. I have a few of the better episodes on VHS already. Although the first season was full of juicy social/political issues, the pace of the show tended to be slower than the next few seasons. Edith and Gloria were just like one-dimensional puppets during the first season.

I will certainly buy seasons 4 & 5 if and when they come out. I'm definitely not a fan of the later seasons (6 and beyond).

I have Seasons 1-3.... and plan on buying them all.

I wouldn't have boughten Season 9, if ABP never happened.... but I need it to bridge the gap.

Anyways.... you can not complain about releases for a show being slow, when you don't buy them.

But if you don't buy Seasons 1-3.... Seasons 4-6 may never come.

(Although I've never heard of a show releasing three seasons on DVD and then stopping. After one season.... happens a lot. After two seasons.... too often. After three seasons.... nope.)

Seasons 4-6 are the best.... but my favorite episode is from Season 2, "Sammy's Visit"

You should reconsider buying Season 2. I like the episodes "Sammy's Visit" and the one where MAUDE came on the show. There were some other moments in that season as well. Season 1 is slow . . .
