what are shows that cost is keeping you from wanting to check out on DVD?
offhand for me: I Love Lucy ($30-40 range, I'd buy it in, no $100) The X-Files (if I found them in the $40-55 range, usually what you see Fox hour long titles go for, I'd get it. But not over $100) The Golden Girls ($25-32 maybe, $50 you're kidding me) Six Feet Under ($40-50 would be reasonable, $99 is not) anyone else? |

Don't forget though that for the Golden Girls that's just MSRP, it's much cheaper on amazon.com and other places, $49.99 isn't set in stone I got my BMW Season 1 DVD which was priced for $49.99 for about $35 but I know people who got it for about $30 or less it just depends where you get it from.I think $50.00 is the limit for me on a season set of a tv show ![]()

Every TV DVD, give or take a few, on Deep Discount DVD is reasonably priced for me. The Star Trek DVDs and the first season of Lost in Space are probably the only significant exceptions.

The Monkees - Season 1 and The Monkees - Season 2
If they were in the $25-40 range, Id get em. But $70?! No thanks. Maybe someday. Another insane price, that I will eventually cave-in to.... $120 for Monty Python's Flying Circus - The Complete Series. |

Same. I got Season 1 for Christmas so I didn't have to fork over the money. I'm going for Season 2 this Christmas. |

I have some interest in seeing some british shows like The Avengers, The Prisoner, and some other britcoms, but they seem so overpriced.

Star Trek is $100 a season, and I love the show, but I cant see myself putting down that much money for one season...
In most places Saved By the Bell was $50 for two seasons, I like SBTB, but not that much.....

Me too. I'd love to have a Next Gen and DS9 collection, but that's way too much money. My landlord likes to be paid once in a while. ![]()

SCTV Network 90: Vol 1 is the only one I can think of. I've never seen the show, but I like the cast (Rick Moranis, John Candy, Joe Flaherty, et al) and I enjoy sketch comedy so I'd probably like it. I think it was around $66 at Best Buy, which I'm not willing to plunk down for a blind buy...yet.
