Hurricane Charley has long passed through florida and most certainly does not pose a threat to Miami. The center of the storm is just about over Myrtle Beach, SC right now.

The rain and gusty wind you had late Thursday Night and yesterday were the outer edges of Charley. He's gone now, making landfall near Myrtle Beach, SC.

There is absolutely zero chance that Charley will head south. Yeah, but now you have 3 1/2 more months of hurricane season to deal with! Who's to say that one of the later hurricanes this year will hit S.Fla?

Tropical Storm Earl, on the other hand does pose a threat to the United States, but not florida at this time. Persons in the New Orleans area should watch this storm closely though, it could pack a punch as it is expected to become a strong hurricane. |

LOL
You live in Florida. If you don't want a hurricane, move inland. The Miami area has been EXTREMELY lucky. The last direct strike from a hurricane was Andrew in 1992. |
