This is my dog and his son. Dachshunds rule! But that popular notion that every dachshund controls his owners (or adoptive parents, as I like to call them) is not entirely true - so nobody start blaming Hitler's dachshunds for his crimes against humanity or Joan Crawford's dachshunds for what she did to her kids. Sure they can be controlling, but I was lucky enough to adopt a very submissive dachshund. Not that I need that type of empty reassurance from a dog... well, maybe I do. Anyway, here they are: the cutest dogs EVER.

Chambers, almost no reason for me to post mine, she looks so much like yours

she has beautiful blue eyes that you cant really see here there.

this one is when she is alot younger, but it is the best picture with her best feature

Edit: and as far as personality goes, Alice is very sweet, but she can be controlling, but she isnt too bad about it, she is 7 or 8 monthes, she still goes to the bathroom in the house sometimes, but it is mainly when someone else is taking care of her or something.

What I dont get about her, is she has a total hard on for anything of mine, she will sit around licking my dirty clothes, like and chew on my shoes, lick my nail file (she loves it), and lick my fingers AFTER i file my nails (yes, I file my nails, it is actually a much better use of time than biting them)'

oh, one more edit, Alice is a Miniature Daschaund, not a normal Dachshaund

AWWWWW! Another dachshund fan! She's really cute! My first one was also a miniature - he was so hard to train though. That was partly because I was inexperienced and partly because he was extremely controlling and hyper. Sigmund (the big one in the picture) was very easy to train. He's extremely calm, never chewed anything or bit anybody. But it did take me a whole month of housebreak him. I also managed to teach him several commands and tricks (and people say you can't train a dachshund - HA). His son (who left for his new home yesterday) was pretty easy to handle too - but it's mostly because I literally watched everything he did 24 hours a day. He hasn't had an accident yet because I took him to his bathroom every two hours or so. The good side is that I don't have to clean up any mess - the bad side is that I was simply exhausted.

These are two of my cats. The one on the left is Lucy and the one on the right is Oscar. I have a third cat, Louise. I'll try to find a pic of her later.

I actually never had a dachshaund before, but my cousin got this dog from her mom, and she had another dachshaund, and had JUST had a baby, so her grown up dachshaund was jealous of all the attention the baby (human) was getting, so a puppy was out of the question.

And, alice was free because she is too inbred to get pedigreed, I think that is where the blue eyes came from, her parents were a brother and a sister.

But if you want to see a really weird birth defect, check this out

now, this is a really picture to post, but check this out

you can see 4 nipples on one side and 2 on the other there, she has a total of 7 on one side and 5 on the other

any chance that is normal for dachshunds?

hahaha As far as I know that's not normal - but it's cute...in a weird way. My first dachshund was inbred too - all his dachshund traits were heightened and so he was pretty hard to control.
