Default How do you watch your tv dvd's?

Do you watch the episdoes straight through, do you watch one episode, then another later? Just how you you watch them?

I watch them all the way through because how often is a season released on DVD? Like Good Times was released in Feb now another in August. So Saturday is the day I use to watch a entire season on DVD.

Every night I watch:

8:00 The Dick Van Dyke Show
8:30 The Monkees
9:00 The Honeymooners
9:30 M*A*S*H

Starting in the fall, I'll change it to:

8:00 The Dick Van Dyke Show
8:30 The Honeymooners
9:00 M*A*S*H
9:30 M*A*S*H
10:00 The Monkees
10:30 Futurama

Other shows I watch just whenever I feel like it. Usually one or two episodes at a time. Hour long shows, I just watch one episode. And I watch all shows in the order I choose. Some shows I watch in Production order. Some shows I watch in Broadcast order. Which ever I feel the producers intended.

The videos are numbered but the early ones aren't as good. #3 is where I really get going.

It depends on the show and how interested I am in getting through it. Shows like "Soap" and "24", for example I try to get through in as short a time as possible because storylines continue from episode to episode. Usually I'll watch maybe 4-6 episodes of a half hour show at a time until I'm finished with the set. Favorite shows like "Three's Company", "Good Times" or "What's Happening" I got through pretty quickly. With "Freaks & Geeks", I watched an episode per day.

Since I've already watched them straight through, I usually skip around to the episodes I like the best

It depends. Sometimes I'll watch them straight through and other times I'll watch them for a little while and then come back later and watch some more.

Straight through the first time for sure.
After that -- random episodes.

Although.... I went through the first seasons of both Cheers and Frasier 3 or 4 times in order.
But once I started to get other TVDVDs.... only random episodes.

Whatever ep I feel like. Not in order, not all at once. I don't even watch them that often.

I mostly watch stuff in order but for a show like Seinfeld I will probably watch out of order.
