You know, I was just thinking about the Clarinet episode that was on the other night. This episode was particularly touching to me and I think I would consider it one of my favorite episodes, because I have been playing the Clarinet for four years. (I started when I was in fourth grade, and now I am going into 8th.) I also like it, in the end when Ward finds out from Wally that Beaver had been pretending that he was in the band so that Ward would be proud of him too, (since he was so proud of Wally for making the baseball team), and Ward just tells Beaver that they wouldn't be able to make it, and maybe they could go some other time... and then later on when Ward comes up to say good night, and Beaver gives him a kiss on the cheek, and says something like,"Thanks Dad, for pretending you thought I was in the band." That was just really touching, especially when they play that sad, mushy music in the background. My Mom watched that episode with me, (sometimes she watches the show with me), and she said it was adorable. We think that Beaver (when he was little), reminds me of my little brother now the way they both hang their heads when they get sad, LOL. Also, my friends and family say that this particular picture of my brother on Easter a few years ago looks like Beaver when he was little. Hehe!
Did anybody else have a particular liking to this episode also?

This is definately one of my favorite episodes. Its so sweet and touching. One part that always gets to me is when Beaver finds out he can't be in band, the way he is so hopeful that maybe he can just pretend to play in the band. And of course the ending was perfect. This episode really had everything, it was hilarious (especially when Beaver played for the family), heartbreaking, and very very touching.

Even though Ward seems to lose his temper a lot, he was really great here!

I've been watching LITB for 3/4 of my life (a scary thought!), and I am still moved by scenes like you mentioned, Haskellgirl!
