I just got this in the mail today and it goes beyond my expectations. Lucie and Desi Jr. picked the episodes, and it's clear with some of their picks that their tastes are not in line with the fans'. BUT, there are still some great episodes on here and, perhaps more importantly, the extra stuff, like live commentary from Lucie, Desi Jr., Carol Burnett, as if they're watching along with you; rehearsal footage; bloopers; and so much more. That more than compensates for some of the episode selections. And for what you get for the money, this is one of the biggest bargains ever. Clearly a lot of thought went in to putting this collection together. You will NOT be disappointed!

I have alot of TV shows on DVD and I must say that this set has the sharpest, clearest picture of any tv show mastered to dvd that I have ever seen. On many other sets you can see dirt and debris on the film, not on these. Someone kept these master prints in pristine condition and I am ever thankful. So far, I have watched 6 episodes, and I agree that some I would not have chosen, but we all have our favorites and fortunately mine is on this set (Lucy The Fixer). Anyway, the extras are great, I got a trip out of the "blooper reels" as they have some footage from later years of "The Lucy Show" as well.
"Here's Lucy" was an excellent show that I had not seen since 1987 (excepting two far below average episodes that N@N showed in February 1996) and it certainly brings back memories. I sure hope they will relase this season by season, and do it quickly. As slow as they release "I Love Lucy" I will be dead by the time "Here's Lucy" comes out. Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy to have any of this show on DVD, I never thought it would happen since this series of hers seems to be ignored for the most part.

I also got my DVD's today. I have purchased several of the tv show dvd's, and this one rocks! You can tell the kids Lucy and Desi were quite involved, as this is a quality product. It has 24 episodes, originally I thought only 12. Plus each DVD had several special events well worth the purchase alone. This is a must for any Lucy fan!

I just recently installed my new DVD player.It works beautifully.Until now my only problem was,I had absolutely no DVDs.All I could do is play my CDs on the player.Desperate to get some DVDs to play on my machine,I bought two used DVDs from a nearby video store last night.One was Johnson Family Vacation.The other was School Of Rock.Then I came upon Here's Lucy-Best Loved Episodes at a store downtown called Best Sellers,which sells all new video and DVD releases,during a stroll downtown today.Well I just had to buy it,and boy am I glad I did.I haven't seen this show on TV in years.I've already got my fair share of episodes of I Love Lucy,The Lucy & Desi Comedy Hour and The Lucy Show on VHS.I was wondering when I would ever see Here's Lucy anywhere.This is definetly a gem.You're right storrs19,the picture quality is beautiful.And I just love that little animated version of Lucy who introduces each episode.This four disc set is definetly a must have for any Lucy fan.

I recently purchased this DVD and I absolutely love it, it definitely brought a smile to my face...I bought the TV-DVD at Frys in the Los Angeles area, because it was on sale for only 29.99 usually the DVD costs about 49.99..So now I am a Happy Camper
