Default Mean fandoms

Don't you just hate those ****ing fandom elite types who are total bitches/bastards?

Call it jealous, call it me being a jerk, but they drive me up the wall and often help spoil a fandom's fun. It's not that their worshipped or popular that bugs me, it's the way they act as though they are untouchable/walk on water and ignore or are snooty to anyone who's new or beneath them. I've been in my fair share of online fandoms since 1999 and these sorts of people are EVERYWHERE.

And it's not only the elites that bug me but I just hate those people who know EVERYTHING and are complete purists. I hate how they just can't wait to jump in a show off their knowledge in that superior I'm-the-bigger-fan-because-I-know-more-than-you way and their beliefs that you-aren't-a-proper-fan-if-you-don't-perfer-the-original-cannon-and-think-every-other-incarnation-is-inferior. GAH!

Not sure why I'm ranting about it NOW but dear ****ing god these people make me want to take an axe to their heads. They piss me right off.

Are you perhaps talking about websites devoted to their favorite stars??? I find nothing wrong in that. You learn some very interesting facts through some of their websites.

some Claymates scare me. Like when I was at a concert last December that Clay was at and these women behind me were freaking out because someone's poster was obstructing their view. And then the DJ people told everybody to look under their seats and if they found an envelope, they got to go meet Clay. This one Claymate was walking up and down the aisle asking people if they got it.. lol like anybody would give it to her if they did!

I was talking about other message boards and when people act like *******'s it can really ruin the fun. That's all, don't worry I was just ranting mindlessly.

I know what your talking about. I went to site a year or two ago and had a problem with this guy. He was supposedly an expert ( big deal! ) on this one tv show and acted like his opinons were the only right ones. Yeah some people can take the fun out of things.

Exactly, ponytail. On one other board there's this one girl who replies to EVERYTHING all the time and all the newbs think she's a mod. She acts like one always, she's such a wannabe it's really pathetic. And on another board there's one guy who outright begs constantly to be a mod and acts like one too. I just feel like screaming at these people to get a life.
