Default what would you want?

hi everyone.
Well, my computer is acting up which is why I haven't been around much. Sorry, but it seems to be just one thing after another. Anway, I had a thought and I'd like to hear what some of your answers would be.

Let's say that tomorrow there's an announcement that Freddie's family has decided to auction off all of Freddie's possessions. (just pretend) Anything he owned will be up for sale and all you have to do is show up. Now first thing, you'd have to fight George Lopez to get a few items.( ) Second, you'd have to think long and hard because the one stipulation is you can only buy one item (unless you're like George and have plenty of money). What would you want of his? I know that some of you all ready have something of his, but this is just for the sake of saying, what would mean the most to you? Why would you want this particular item?
Hope to hear you answers soon!

Default Freddie's things

Well the first thing I would have wanted of Freddie's was his heart...but seeings that is impossible....I think I would have liked the medals he wore around his neck the first season. And maybe that brown coat he wore...or if someone had taken them already..it would have to be the velvet blue jacket or anything red he wore...so you girls better hurry..because I have my eye on lot of his things. I would have wanted his Bible really, but I think it was best he took it with him on his special journey.

What I would of wanted of Freddie's was his Corvette, or his journel or not too seem so twisted would be his pillow. That alone would be a treasure wondering what kind of dreams Freddie had. Whether they were of his future and his success or suceeding and giving his mother what he always wanted to give her.

Red face OMG

This is a no brainer for me, if I could have anything of Freddie's it would be his journal. I have had dreams at night of his mother giving me that journal because she wanted one of Freddie's fans to have it before she died. I truly believe in my heart that his journal holds the key to understanding his pain and what happened. It would be a dream come true to own that journal.

Default Freddie's belongings

The journal would be my first choice too Suz....after his heart....what a great thought. It would have been wonderful to read his thoughts on life..even if he was only 22 and just a mere baby.

This isn't a coincidence that all three of us mention the journal at the same time!

Yes I agree Luckymama and Macca. I can only wonder what lies in that journal. What was stirring in Freddie's heart, mind and spirit as he wrote each entry down!

Macca you mentioned some of the things I'd love to have too - the brown leather jacket, the blue velvet sports jacket and all the red things Freddie wore that he looked so handsome in. Since you have chosen those things, I will choose his guitar. The thought of owning something that he had his arms around while he held it close to his body and strummed it with those long sensual fingers would drive me crazy. I would also love to have the pillow that he slept on the last weeks/months of his life. I could imagine the scent of his beautiful, shiney dark hair laying against it as he dreamed his nights away.

His guitar.... hum... that is another good choice! I would also love to have anything personal his mother would have kept from his childhood, a favorite blanket or stuffed animal..... I wonder....

And Suz, I have dreamed about owning his Corvette too....

This is a tough one. Too hard to decide but I would want more than one item & for all of us to get to read his journal...

Something I always wanted to do was write a biography of Freddie, but I would never attempt it without his journal. I dunno if I would actually publish the journal as is, but I would definitely include parts of it. I think that, except for Maria's book, nothing really has been done that honors his life. The problem with her book is that it is sooo sad. I knew she wanted to set the record straight, so she put in a lot about his death, but I would love to have a biography that dwelled more on his life. Oh well, one can always dream....

Unhappy Call me morbid, but....

...while I would love to have any of the things already mentioned--for similar reasons--I have often thought about the fact that Freddie's head was shaved in the hospital, so they could perform surgery in an attempt to save his life. I have always wondered what happened to all the hair that must have hit the floor of that pre-op room, and I would love to have a lock of it, if one still exists somewhere.
