I dont like it when people make fanfics where every single character was a big name star.
It doesn't make any sense.... and if it were real -- it would suck for struggling actors. TV makes stars. Stars dont make TV. |

anyways, I have LOTS of ideas.... I want to be a TV Producer someday.
well, here's one.... Family and Life A regular old family, living life as the rest of us do. With a son who's torn between the life with his "old family" (mom, dad, 2 sisters) and his "new family" (wife, kids, dog). No big catch, no big gimmick. Featuring.... Grant Tinker (the dad) Larraine Tinker (the mom) Corinne Tinker (the older sister) Warren Tinker (the star) Elaine Tinker (the wife) Julia Tinker (the younger sister) and the kids.... Jon (6) and Larraine (4). |

Here are some more....
(unless otherwise noted, all of *my* shows are sitcoms) Band Aid (spinoff of "Family and Life") The country's greatest marching band faces its bigges loss when its longtime conductor drops dead. While searching for a replacement, they come across Jake Sampsonite, a rocker who's just dying to get a gig. When the rocker and the band meet, it doesnt go over too well. But as both Jake and the band get to know eachother, they begin to change. Sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. Davis (spin-off of "Family and Life") This is the story of David Davis, a man who's life has gone terribly wrong. He's 39 years old and living with his sister (Dana Davis), an equally depressing individual. They can't stand eachother, but they can't bear to be apart. Throughout thick and thin, they try to stick together, even if it means never having a life of their own. Spare Change (a pseudo-spinoff of "Family and Life", animated) In "Family and Life", the father, Grant Tinker, was the creator of a fake comic strip series called "Spare Change". Throughout the series, Warren with the help of his father tried to make the comic strip into a feature film, but when that failed, he aimed for television. The series finale features the Tinker family viewing the pilot episode of "Spare Change". Nothing from the actual pilot is seen, but the pilot (in its' entirety) is shown following the series finale. And becomes a series of its own. The Laws of Love A look into the life of an attorney, and his only client -- a women who has been convicted of "washing her dog to death". Also featuring (the suspect) Jen's best friend and roommate, who has a thing for Bill, the attorney. Also included are Jen's boyfriend Alec, the chef. And Bill's rival, neighbor, and older brother -- Andrew. The Box Office (spinoff of "The Laws of Love", featuring crossovers with "Novel Ideas") The head of a multi-billion dollar film corporation suddenly finds himself with a bankrupt company. When the board heres of this -- he's fired from his head-honcho position and sent to manage "the box office" where he meets the strangest group of factory workers ever. Novel Ideas (crosses over with "The Box Office") The story of a publishing company, and two freelance writers dying to get their stories out. Those two writers include a bookworm female who just wants to share her love for literature.... and a former female celebrity who wants to tell her "true story" They immediately find a hatred for eachother -- until eventually they are hired and assigned to work together on a nightmare project. Dollars & Scents The world's richest man finally meets his match -- a perfume saleswomen who defies all aspects of "class". As his new maiden learns the way of the rich, Gregorio (the billionaire) appreciates the small things in life. Religious Obsession A (formerly) Catholic man who hasnt been to church in 15 years finds himself out of a job, his wife, and due to his gambling problem, his grandfather's foutune. Now he's begging to move into the "Brooklyn Project", where he must live with a Buddhist, a Jew, an atheiest, a Muslim, and a Christian minister. Cherry Picker A California native who went off to play for one of the world's best soccer teams is kicked out of the league for cheating (which he fully denies) and is forced to move in with parents and help with tending their cherry fields. Van Dyke My first show to be based around actors, rather than characters. This is the story of two brothers (Jerry and Dick Van Dyke) who must live with eachother when Dick breaks his hip, and their (often heard, but never seen) mother is at her death bed, for her 45 consecutive year. Failed Pilot (probably my most interesting idea) His whole life, from the day he was born, Jack was told that he would someday become a pilot. And he did -- until now, when he suprises both his parents and his own family by quiting his job and tries to live his dream -- by producing his own TV show. But, things dont go as planned, and Jack finds himself WATCHING TV all day, raising the kids while Carrie (his wife) is off making the bacon (literally, and figuratively). Complex (a spinoff of "The Laws of Love") Andrew Montgomery's world goes whirlwind when in a 34 and 1/2 hour period, he gets divorced, married (to a different women) -- and discovers that his ex-wife is now pregnant. He's now trying to get himself out of the new marriage, and back with his ex. This is the story of a man who's whole life is complex. His apartment building -- a complex. His inferiority problem -- a complex. And even his ex-wife's last name -- Complex. Paper and Plastic In a world where only superficial things matter, the former "Miss Pennsylvania" (Britney Snow) finds herself working at the local grocery shop. In the first episode alone, the store is held up and burnt down. But Britney doesn't care -- as long as her $200,000 worth of plastic surgery isnt touched. My Workplace (still working on this idea) Jack Deacon is the worst boss in the world. This is the story of his workplace. When he's not making his employees' lifes miserable, he's make his own even worse. Also featured are his secretary, Joyce and his other employees Clark the pitchman and Vinny the errand boy. But what makes life even more complicated for Jack is Colleen, his assistant manager, who happen's to be his rival, friend, and love interest all at once. SitCommentary (a reality show, that MOST sitcom fans are sure to enjoy) A 2-Hour Long weekly special that features classic sitcom casts doing a standard table read for a classic sitcom episode. The next half hour is followed by the original uncut and unedited episode. The remaining half hour is a repeat of the same episode -- only now with the entire cast and crew doing a commentary. I haven't come up with a name for the series but I'll tell you this. It would be a drama. It would be about two brothers-in-law with the same first name, Jack, that live in one of those buildings that are two homes in one. Both brothers-in-law are opposite of each other like "The Odd Couple." Jack Hurst is married and is clean, neat, and does things by the book. The other is named Jack Faber and he is unkempt, gruff, and prefers to work with unorthodox and unconventional means. He is the sister of Hurst's wife. Both of these guys are PIs and have their own PI business. Their cases usually involve blackmail, searches for missing persons, investigations, stuff like that.
A second series, titled "McLeach", combines "Murder, She Wrote" with "Route 66." In the pilot episode, McLeach, a private investigator, (whose first name is never mentioned) is about to marry an heir to a huge million-dollar undisclosed business but then his bride-to-be is found murdered and their home burned down and all clues point to McLeach. He sets out to clear his name and he eventually finds the real killer. He inherits only a Corvette and a few million dollars. Rather than buying a home, he decides to take his business on the road. His cases take place around the US and in some foreign countries. All of them are murders and people come to him because he had made huge headlines before. |

Do you think I'm really going to share my ideas so they can be stolen by all of you future tv producers? Well that question is irrelevent because I don't have any good ideas...
![]() Joking aside. I dream of someday being a staff writer on some sticom. So I better be good at coming up with things on the spot. So let's give this a try. "Mourning in Paradise" This is a show about a mortuary business called "Paradise." It's a small establishment run by the Trentham family in their own home. The Trentham family actually emmigrated from England to the US in the 60s - they were part of the land-owning upper class, but a horrible scandal dishonored their family name and they had to leave the country. The family features the original immigrant generation - Clovis and Agatha Trentham, who are very much still rooted in their uppity posh ways and still have trouble accepting that they have to make a living the American way. The second American generation consists of a brother and a sister in their early 30s: Mildred and Steven Trentham. Both of them are very American and are constantly at odds with their parents. Mildred has joined the family business and is very much without direction in life. She's also repressed and erudite - very much a cold fish. Steven is very comfortable with his middle class life, works as a journalist for the local paper and often has to write the obituary section. Each episode will feature a humorous obituary snippet. Steve lives in a house next door with his own family (his wife and son - who are only ever talked about). The show also features the other members of the business staff, aka the people who take care of the technical stuff: Bud Stromsky and Jim Hyde. Bud is a very working-class, beer-guzzling type guy who does the best post-mortum make-up in town. He is Clovis' least favorite person in the world. But he actually develops quite a bond with Agatha. Jim Hyde is in charge of transportation. He's a good-looking 30-something high-school dropout and becomes Steve's best friend. There will be a lot of dark comedy surrounding the mortuary business. But mostly, the comedy will rise from the clashes between the older and younger generations, and between the different social classes and different cultural values. I absolutely agree with having no-name actors. I don't want big names to distract viewers from the story or from the other characters. All I know is that this will be an ensemble cast.

"Fireman Mike"
It's the story of a fireman named Mike. Set in Ohio. All the actors will be unknowns. Season One: Mike Miller Jason Miller Sam Miller Brittney Dawson In the first season, Mike (29) lives with his Dad, Sam. In the first episode, Mike's wacky younger brother Jason moves in. Brittney is their 11 year-old neighbor who has a crush on Mike. Stories invlove the three men trying to get along. It's a mid-season with only 13 episodes. Season Two: Mike Miller Marsha Miller Sam "Grandpa" Miller Becky Miller Jeff Miller In the second season premeire, Mike wakes up to find himself married to Marsha Simms. She has two adopted kids, Liza (15) and Jeff (8). Sam still lives with Mike and serves as the housekeeper. Jason and Brittney are both gone. Jason moved away for a job offer and Brittney left without explanation. At the end of season 2, Sam gets remarried to his ex-wife (Mike's mom) and moves to Florida. Season Three: Mike Miller Marsha Miller Uncle Roger Miller Becky Miller Jeff Miller In the third season, Mike's Uncle Roger moves in with the Millers. Just one thing, though. Uncle Roger is about 6 inches tall. He's a scientist and shrunk himself. Plots this season turn sci-fi (much like Family Matters did) as Mike and Uncle Roger go through many wacky adventures together. Including alternate dimension and time travel. Season Four: Mike Miller Marsha Miller Uncle Roger Miller Becky Miller Jeff Miller We start this season off in a new house. The Millers moved to another neighborhood. Becky is now a senior in highschool. We also continue with the wacky stories of Mike and Uncle Roger. Early in the season, Marsha finds out she's pregnant. The rest of the season, the family deals with it and helps her through the pregnancy. Towards the end of the season, Marsha gives birth, prematurely. Everything turns out fine, and Brandi Ann Miller enters the world. In the season finale, a terrorist breaks into the home and just as he's about to be arrested, shoots Mike. Season Five: Mike Miller Marsha Miller (first half) Uncle Roger Miller Jeff Miller Brandi Ann Miller Amanda Jenkins (last half) Mike wakes up from a summer long coma. He finds that Becky has gone off to college. For half of the season, Mike and Marsha raise Jeff and Brandi Ann, along with Uncle Roger. However, mid-season, Marsha dies in a car crash (the actress got a big head and left the series, only to bash it on "The Tonight Show"). Marsha's friend, Amanda moves in to help Mike raise the two kids. Amanda is the same age as Mike and looks like she would be a potential love interest. Season Six: Michael Edwards Uncle Roger Miller Amanda Edwards Jeff Miller Brandi Ann Miller Due to the death of the series' star, Mike Miller has been involved in one of Uncle Roger's experiments gone wrong. Amanda meets and falls in love with Michael Edwards, a fireman who visits the house, mourning Mike. In fact, he falls in love with the whole family and moves into the apartment over the garage. Mid-season, Michael and Amanda marry. Needless to say, the series suffered this season and was cancelled.

I have often thought about creating and producing a new family comedy that is inspired mostly by the older family comedies of the 80s like Family Ties and Growing Pains. Except with this one, I would make the mom the primary star and make her quite high strung and short-tempered. I call it "Sweet Disposition" as a parady. I heard that phrase on an episode of Mama's Family and thought that it would be a nice show name. My show would be a little of Mama's Family and a lot of Family Ties and Growing Pains. It would have a mom and a dad and 2-3 kids and a family next door. The dad would be a weather man, the mom would be a prosecutor. The storylines would concentrate on the mother and her next door neighbor friend who is the complete opposite of her, the dad and his job (kind of like Tool Time on Home Improvement) and the kid type storylines. I think it would work since we have hardly any true family style shows anymore.

A small group of friends gather around a table and discuss their sex lives. Sex & the City? Wrong. "Sex Ed" focuses on 3 guys who spend most of their time having sex, wanting to have sex and talking about sex.... but mostly the latter. Scott, Joe and Eddie are 3 best friends who gather each day in the cafeteria, at their normal table, to share their views on sex and life.... but mostly sex. Scott is the oldest of the group, a sophomore, who is currently dating the uber-hot senior Hilary Malone but has recently gotten flack from the other guys for being more interested in his 11-year old neighbor. Joe, the youngest of the group, is a Freshman who is wise beyond his years. He is currently secretly dating his cousin's best friend behind her back. Eddie, also a sophomore, just got out of a rocky relationship with a 14-year old and claims to have sworn off women. He also often finds himself confiding in ex-girlfriend Ally, whether either of them like it or not. "Sex Ed" is a "true to life" single-camera look at teen sexuality in the 00's and is expected to be an instant hit!

If I could make some sitcoms I would make:
Divorced about two men trying to get their ex's back. Lake Forest is 55 year old man who has just divorced his wife. living with him are his two son nerdy Chester, 19 and Craig, 14. he has daughter, Grace, 18 away at college who shows up alot. next door is his best friend Dr. Dick Burton who is also divorced and has three kids, Dick Jr. who is Chester's best friend, Kristen who likes Chester and Jim who is Craig's friend. Lake's ex-wife Laurel lives near by and Lake pretends he can't stand her, but secretly wants her back. Dick's ex-wife Karen is an novelist and Dick is constantly buying her things to win her back. this show includes a lot of sarcastic comedy and some dramatic parts. Mount Baldwin Baptist Church after the minister runs with all the church's money, former broadway star turned televangelist Linda Case (Valerie Pettiford) comes to be minister at a small rural Georgia Church. but her eccentric methods for the chior clash with chior director Alberta Johnson who is for traditional performances. Deacon Ray Ford (John Amos) backs Linda and is the largest landowner in the county. Guiterrez Guiterrez Gonzales (John Leguizamo) is an outspoken liberal person. living with him sister Rosa (Rosie Perez) and his daughter Pilar. Guiterrez is very cantakerious and hard to get along with. Java about a coffee shop. slightly like Cheers. The owner of the shop Jan St. Cloud hires an out of work pharmacist James Gold to serve the customers who include a CEO, a Podiatrist, a state representative, a car salesman and a mechanic. Brand New World A middle aged single father Joseph Clarendon and his 4 kids move to a New Hampshire dairy farm next door to his brother and his brother's kids. a family comedy it would revolve around the father and kids adjusting to rural life. |
