As a matter of fact, I watched it (again!) a few hours ago. Can't say how much I love this movie, John Cusack and the character of Lloyd Dobler. "If you were Diane Court, would you honestly fall for Lloyd?" Abso-freakin-lutely. I poured over the special features and listened to the commentary. Just a great movie, all-around.

Those are terrific pictures, ilovethe80s.

Thanks glad you liked them. I'm glad you think this is such a great movie because i think it is too. John Cusack is so great as Lloyd Dobler.

What do you think about the part where Lloyd stands outside Diane's window with the boombox and plays "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel? I think that's my favorite part? Doesn't it just melt your heart? I know i am a guy but most guys are not like this at all. I would be like Lloyd i actually think i am like him because i am different then other guys i actually think he's my rolemodel.

It's one of my favorite parts, too. The look in his eyes, the fact that he's basically saying, "I love you and I'm not giving up on us," stays with me. When he's teaching her how to drive a stick and they're laughing and smiling and he leans in real quick to kiss her.. I love that. Oh, and when they're about to show Cocoon! It's so sweet to me. And the ending itself is easily a favorite of mine as far as all movies go. It's not just the flight that's going to be ok, but Lloyd and Diane and I like the way they let us know that.

Aww, that's cool!

I was just really sad when Diane broke up with Lloyd because she really broke his heart. I'm glad they got back together though. I mean her father was so bad and it's like the only person she had that was honest to her was Lloyd. I'm glad she had him.

I was just looking in my Tv Guide and this movie is listed to be on June 23 on FX at 12pm and 11pm. I have already seen it and own the DVD. But for those who haven't seen it and are intrested in watching it you can. I might watch parts of it again if not the whole thing.

I think this was one of the first movies that really got me intrested in liking John Cusack. I think he was so great as Lloyd Dobler. I mean i don't really think anybody elese could of played that part as well as him. To me he is Lloyd Dobler like i just think of that character when i think of him. Anyway after i saw this movie then i became intrested in him and saw most of his other movies and i really enjoyed most of them. Now it's like i can't get enough of him. I just think he is a great actor. As you can tell.

I just recently viewed this movie, but I don't understand it. I don't get the love story and the praise it has of being a classic teen flick. I wouldn't even give it a good review actually. Please tell me why this movie is so great because I didn't see it when I was watching. I just felt no chemistry between the two actors.I didn't believe anything.

I also just recently saw this movie for the first time and I kinda feel the same way. I did like it, but...I see what you mean about the lack of chemistry. At times I really felt there was none. I thought it was all right, but there is definitely something lacking. I also don't understand why it is considered a classic. I think there are much better teen movies. However, I did LOVE Lili Taylor's role in the movie and all of her songs. That was great. I really love her and think she is highly underrated. Maybe I would like this movie more if I watched it again one day.
