I'm happy that these episodes were included in the 'best of' set:

However, I'm disappointed that these 'Best' episodes were not included: episode #5 - "Lucy and Eva Gabor" episode #11 - "Lucy and the Great Airport Chase" episode #20 - "Lucy, the Shopping Expert" episode #28 - "Lucy Runs the Rapids" episode #40 - "Lucy Protects Her Job" episode #50 - "Lucy Loses Her Cool" episode #60 & #61 - "Lucy Goes Hawaiian" Parts 1 & 2 episode #66 - "Lucy and Aladdin's Lamp" episode #87 - "Lucy Helps David Frost Go Night-Night" episode #97 - "Lucy and Eva Are Hospital Roomies" episode #107 - "Good Bye, Mrs. Hips" episode #117 - "Lucy and the Franchise Fiaso" episode #121 - "Lucy Plays Cops and Robbers" episode #137 - "Lucy Is N.G. As An R.N. episode #141 - "Lucy Carter Meets Lucille Ball" I'm exceptionally very upset that episode #137 is not in the list. I'm so bewildered as to why that particular episode isn't considered one of the best. I have a hard time understanding that. IMO, that was THE very best episode of this series. It was extremely well-written and well-acted. Oh well, if this 'best of' set does extremely well, hopefully there can be another 'best of' set. Or better yet . . . SEASON SETS of "Here's Lucy". |

Oh, then this is the official list...cool!
However, I find it weird they're not including "Lucy & Viv Visit Tijuana" and "Lucy Goes Hawaiian Pts. 1 & 2"...I personally think the Viv eps are the best of the series, and as close to ILL & TLS as you can get...oh well, still a neat list - can't wait!!! |

I agree, the episodes with Viv were some of greatest episodes of the series. It was always a joy to see her in Here's Lucy. She brought back the old warmth from the days when she worked regularly with Lucy on the first three seasons of The Lucy Show and I Love Lucy. Viv's guest appearances on Here's Lucy felt like a 'Lucy' reunion which was always fun and interesting to see. They were awesome! |

I agree! Not only that, but they were funnier! I find myself laughing alot more at the Viv eps than with other ones from this series...one of my favorite Viv/Ethel lines ever is from "With Viv As a Friend, Who Needs an Enemy?" (luckily on the DVD)
"I have already cleaned out MY desk. Your JUNK is in a BOX in that CLOSET" I don't think anyone could say that line as well as she did at that moment. The hand gestures are perfect too. Classic! |

Hopefully, August 17th will be the end of my nearly 20 year wait to see this show again.
The list looks pretty good to me, although as with most people I would have preferred season by season releases. However we must be thankful for what we can get. I'm surprised that the first episode of this series ever aired, "Mod Mod Lucy" is not included. Well, at least "Lucy the fixer" and "Lucy is really in a pickle" are included, along with some of the funny ones with Vivian Vance.
