Default "in god we strongly suspect"

"he's given you beauty, he's given you brains, he's given you me."

this episode starts with dave and maddie's discussion on her disbelief in God.
an escape artists fakes his death and gets a coroner to help him. the man's wife is killed and then he is killed after a diamond theft. the coroner turned on him and killed him until our heores figured it out and caught him in the midst of a bunch of dead guys.
i tried to watch this show twice in recent weeks and fell asleep both times. finally got to the end now. a pretty good episode.

rating: 4

I remember watching this one when it originally aired. It's one of my favorites.

The only part about this one that rings a bell is the opening scene about God. Don't know about the rest of the episode, but that scene was good.

I really enjoy the overnight guarding of the body where Maddie and David camp out at the morgue all night--David tries to have her a little birthday party but she wants none of that, instead telling him to turn out the lights, relight the candles and come sit by her...and she gives him this little warning "And don't go getting any ideas...." "Don't have to, I brought plenty of them with me...." is David's witty reply.

Oh, I remember that! The morgue scene definitely rings a bell. This was a really good episode...I think.

Just seen this one for the first time!! David is wonderful in this episode. Although I loved the bit at the morgue, my favourite bit was the bit where David says to Maddie that he'd prayed for her, as she said she didn't believe in God. The ending was really sweet....

I have two favorite parts in this one. I love how they are sitting upright before they fall asleep, but in the morning they are lying on top of each other! I also love the last scene and David's line, "If and when I ever find myself over you, the last thing I'll be thinking about is sleeping."

Great Moonlighting minds think alike.

I love those two scenes also.

I agree with you girls, the morgue and the line are terrific scenes.
The ending is REALLY sweet and romantic.
Finally a peaceful and friendly conversation.
And the love just pops out of their eyes!!

with this episode i went on another roller coaster ride.

the episode opened with david and maddie explaining that the episode had been filmed in 3D but the post office hadn't delivered the 3D glasses on time. i'm going to get some 3D glasses and see if this is true.

david and maddie broke the fourth wall!

and now for the parts where this episode was like real life.

david and maddie remind me so very much of real men and women.this is what i like best about this show.
as much as this show acts like a tv show, it's also like real life. neat trick.

i learned that maddie judges her life by accomplishments and progress. and david has faith in the 'master plan'.

i learned that maddie is an atheist and david-who believes in god- was really scared for her.

for the first time i saw david judgmental. when the escape artists wife said that she had been 'indiscreet' in her marriage, david's arms were crossed and he was looking at her angrily. that was the only time in the conversation with the wife that he did that. has david been married before and had his wife been unfaithful? probably not, but this is what i felt.

it's hard for me to figure out who's the one who's traditional. first it seemed like maddie, now it seems like both of them are.

What a lovely episode. These are my favoruite parts too along with the ending and David praying for Maddie.

Also I agree with Marla when she says -

Things seem to constantly change in this show and there is so much depth to the characters that is not apparent at first.

Keeps me hooked

I can't remember the last scene too well, for some reason

I remember the body-guarding scene though. They weren't exactly the best at body-guarding, now were they?! I loved the way that they ended up lying down together in the morning. They looked so sweet like that
