Default Amateur Filmmaking?

Have any of you here ever made, or worked on an amateur film? Or- have any of you here wrote scripts and tried getting them made into movies?

I did some film stuff in college.
Nothing worth submitting to the Sundance Film Fest though.

BTW Kristina, I loved your work in "Not Quite Legal."

I would like to make a film demonstrating people from cities, counties, and different states, like New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas, Atlanta, Indianapolis, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont to get different attitudes, how they treat people from "fish out of water" states and call it "Yankee/Southerner" and/or "City/County". Sounds dull but hey it is being honest.

Post I was working on a script

I was working on a film. Who knows maybe one day I will film it.
Copyrighted so None of you please copy

Summary
On the 16th birthday of their daughter on the planet Zara the Queen and King Ailen grant their daughter a very special wish.
She wants her very own"human girl " pet. That is just her age.
So the King sends to of his very best men to go find one.
Down below at a exclusive all girls school the richest girl there
who is a major pain to everyone gets abducted by the Ailens.
After she is gone several people start accusing each other about her disappearence. Meanwhile the girl is on a adventure that is going to change her life forever.

It has some E.T,Facts of Life,Wizard of Oz,And Charlie's Angels in it. Which all happen to be my favorites.
No one gets killed or hurt. I wouldn't have any bad language either. Maybe G or PG. I'm still on the script.

Julian bzo- that idea sounds great. But- will the alien's be nice to her, or will she hate them- that's an interesting part.

The Ailens would treat her more like a pet. Like you would you dog or cat. Except they keep her locked in a class case where
she has no freedom. She can breathe and live well though. She would probably grow to hate them.
