Default How to deal with a Bigot! Help!

My friend and I need help dealing with a bigot, but we don't know what to do. It is a girl in my class who is very opinionated, and she constantly puts down and criticizes and personally attacks people who disagree with her. One time, someone criticized Johnny Depp, her favorite actor, so she started cursing and swearing really bad words at him.

Another problem is not that she believes in God, but she bashes (metaphorically) anyone who believes in Evolution, and that's how she judges people. Not at all what a good person would do! She also discriminates against people who like old TV and music. My friend and I are sick of the putdowns and criticisms from her!

Is there any way to deal with her that won't make us get even more criticisms and putdowns? I have never met anyone so bad. You might think every kid is like this, but they aren't. The teachers won't deal with it. Help!

she doesn't sound like a bigot, just sounds rather immature if you want my opinion.

a bigot is somebody who hates someone because they're black, or because they're a different nationality, or because they're gay, etc.. The classmate of yours just sounds like a typical trendy kid who thinks their stuff doesn't stink. If she's like this in 10 years, there's issues there, but a lot of adolescents/teens have that "my way or the highway" mentality, I remember kids having that all the time. I actually lost a "friendship" with a kid when I was 15 because I loved a song by Sponge that was out at the time, and he thought they sucked, so he stopped talking to me over it, LOL. That's the way youth works.

But it's nice to know you're more mature than that

She doesn't really sound like a bigot, just an immature brat. I've dealt with a few people like that, both on-line and off. I remember a woman at another board I used to post at who thought anyone who disagreed with her was an idiot. She even called me a pathetic loser once because I love Wings and I don't like a couple of her favorite shows. At least on-line you can learn to ignore them. It's a little harder to ignore them in the real world, but sometimes, that's really the best thing to do: don't let them get to you.

This is nothing to do with me or my friend, but it is bad! She hates people who like gothic music or clothes. She hates boys who like or wear pink, and she says they are gay. She endlessly picked on and physically abused a boy in my class for being gay! How terrible!

I can't wait to see this backfire on her 4-5 years down the road if she decides to be a "trendy ___ hag". She sounds like a b-word. You should tell the gay boy to contact GLAAD and they will make her life a living hell over it. Girls are supposed to be our friends, jocks are supposed to be the ones to beat up gay teens, lol.

Apparently times have changed if 12 year olds today are gothic and out of the closet. When I was that age, nobody admitted to being either.

Good points, BuffySlayer79! She also has taunted one of my best friends for being boyfriends with a girl who likes gothic stuff. This is creepy and scares me now, but she used to be my girlfriend! I'm glad I dumped her before now! She is a rotten b**** and she will always be! This prejudice against gays from her has got to stop! Someday, it will all come back to haunt her!

she reminds me of a girl who was so nasty to me in grade school when I was 11-12. However, I can laugh at it now because she got arrested for prostitution a year or so ago, and she had possession of crack. I knew it was her when they said her name (tho she'd changed the last name) and showed her picture on the news.

What goes around comes around is what I say. lol

Ok- I've got a few ideas, however, they may sound a little insane.

Ok- first, is the boy in your class actually gay- or is she calling him gay?

Anyway- first, you should get all the people that hate her in your class to boycott her, try to ruin the biotch! Stuff like just refusing to co-operate, simple stuff- or actually try get her in trouble.

Second- get a petition signed, with people's comments about free speech and freedom to be whatever, and put the petition in her locker.

3- Go to her house at night, stand outside, play loud music and sing a song relevant to the cause (that song where they sing "Life's not worth a damn, until I can say, I am what I am" would be a good one!).

4- Get the gay guy to walk up and kiss her- she'll be mortified.

Take your pick- the revenge all depends on the type of person you are.

He is actually gay. This girl was sent to the principals for kicking him. I think I will ignore her, but if it won't work, I will do the petition. She really needs to leave people alone, and stop being a bigot to those whose opinions differ!

Is this girl the sort with a big false image- whose parents think she's an angel sort? Or does she not give a damn about trouble?

Anyway- I think a petition, with enough people backing it- would really get to her- no matter who you are- having enough people criticise you and showing they're genuinely hurt has got to affect you.

Default She's a looser

See MeanGirls, I bet you will get a lot f good ideals from the movie when it comes out this spring. The girl from Freaky Friday play's the new girl. Should be pretty good. I also was picked on when I WAS A NEW KID IN SCHOOL,GEEEZZ THAT WAS 23 OR 24 YEARS AGO, 7TH GRADE. iF THEY AREhuman they will realize how stubid they were to other kids, when your reuioiun comes I bet she will say she's sorry,if not you really did not loose a friend. If she says she believes in God, she really does not she is supervifical, because Jesus says don't judge others. She really needs to get help if she wants to fuction in the real world when she gets out of hig school, I don't know her,but her parents are probabaly that way also.If the teachers don't to anything go to the police and get a restraining order against her and have the boy do the same...

If she stays like this, she will have loads of problems later in her life if she doesn't shape up now. Her parents spank her and throw things at her. Maybe she is abused and depressed? Who knows. I will not judge her, but judge her behavior.
