They also edited the part where Roseanne is dressed up like a guy for halloween and goes in the men bathroom. They completely took that scene out! It's a shame because it's a funny one.

I don't know why they do that! It's not like children are watching, it's on at like 11:00 at night!

yea, that does seem stupid that they would cut out DJ sayin "hell" but they didnt cut out Dan calling his dad a "son of a bitch". Perhaps, they want to create the image that kids dont swear. Other than that, I have no idea.

I just remembered a time when they didnt censor DJ swearing. In season eight (I think), when Roseanne served the Cornish Game Hens(Little Chickens), DJ exclaimed "WHAT THE HELL ARE THOSE?" Maybe it was because he was 14-15 years old by then. I really thought that scene was funny.

i saw "Two for One" and "Snoopy Davey Dave" last night, and in those two episodes, Darlene is called a "bitch" by David and Mark. Plus, there are numerous "hells" and "damns". Again, its probably that they want it to seem like kids are perfect, and they never swear... even though that is not true AT ALL!

Thats Why for episodes like that thay give a TV-PG-L rating. What I dont get on Nick at Nite is why in some episodes like "Do You Know Where Your Parents Are?", the one where Darlene and Becky ditch curfew, they only say "Hell" once in the episode, and the whole episode gets a TV-PG-L rating, but in episodes like "Pampered to Pulp", where Roseanne says "I'll break your spine you Bitch", and "Hell" and "Damn" and "Bitch" multiple times it only gets a TV-PG Rating?

I remember that episode where they get a VCR. DJ's actual line was "HOW DO YOU WORK THIS DAMN THING!?"
Roseanne: "Hey watch your language, it's not a THING it's a VCR!"
Nick At Nite didn't edit that one out and DJ like you guys said was really young at the time.

Well, if you took out the "damn" in it, it would defeat the humor of the exchange.

N@N has some double standards sometimes... they will show some inapproriate(but funny things) and edit some others. Oh well, life goes on.

Check and see what Oxygen does with it.
