The best line in that episode was where Dana's mom asked who was the bartender and Darlene replied 'Wasn't it that girl who was over here studying yesterday?' lol That was hilarious the way the girl's mother looked at her.

To tell you the truth this is one of my few favorite episodes from season 2. I just love the whole drunk scene and the whole part when Dana's mom comes in and fights with the family. I like to relate to this episode with an inccident where my parents found out me and a few of my friends drank in our basement. I admitt season 2 was boring but this is still a good episode in my opinion. The best episode of the season though was definitely "Inherit the Wind"!

I will agree that as a whole season 2 was boring but there were some episodes I thought were good..

Inherit the wind
Brain-dead poets society
No talking
One for the road

Even though alot of people didn't like this one (An officer and a gentleman) because some felt they were trying to hook up jackie and dan but for me I just thought it was really touching!!!!

The only episode which I recall as being truely boring from the second seaons is the one where Ziggy comes into town and helps Dan rebuild his old bike.

Wasn't this about the time that Roseanne's eldest daughter in real life was admitted into rehab?

I found seasons 1988-1990 to be extremely boring. I personally like the episodes where Roseanne starts to work at the diner. 1991-1997 were the best although the last season was kind of weird after they won all that money.

I have to agree that 1988-1990 were a bit of a yawn but lets not forget that 'Roseanne' was a show that broke through all other shows. This was a blue collar family trying to make ends meet while you have other shows that seemed too perfect like the Cosby show. The Huxtable kids were too perfect and could never do wrong. Meanwhile the Conner kids and family were the family that most could relate to. Thats why I think people loved this show. Earlier on, I found they they touched on important topics for kids but as their kids matured, the show got more interesting especially with characters like Leon, Nancy, and Bonnie.
