Default If Jack was handcuffed to Chrissy, why would he still try to go on a date???

I always laugh at that episode because you would think Jack would have just canceled his date since he was handcuffed to chrissy. Let's say if the drink never splashed in the girl's face, how would Jack have left the Beagle with his date if he was still handcuffed to Chrissy?-LOL

I read an article where the writers said the only reason they would have Jack cancel the date was to stay home and have a marathon watching his What's Happening dvd.

Of course. He cancelled other dates by pretending he was sick...or he could say "something suddenly came up".

This is TV folks. His keeping the date just made for more comedy. What else would they have done...just sit at home together until Jay returned?

And yes, if it were me in that situation in real life, I would have cancelled the date.

I don't know if you have ever played the Three's Company Video Game (you can download it from Pavanbadal's website), but if not, I'll just tell you something. In the game, they have a part where Jack is handcuffed to Chrissy and you have to drink all the wine before the clock runs out and without Brenda seeing the handcuffs. Also, you have to keep Chrissy from drinking her wine so that Jack gets pulled back and Brenda notices. Well, when you don't get done before the clock runs out, or if Brenda sees your handcuffs, the same thing happens in the game as on the episode. But if you do finish in the appointed time, Brenda leaves without Jack, saying to him, "See you later," or "Call you later." Maybe that's what would have happened in the episode.

jack actually tried to brake the date. however that part is edited on the n@n version. jack tried to e-mail her but he kept getting kicked off the internet....dont forget they only had dial up slow service, they couldnt afford high speed. then jack uses his cell phone to call her by she never picked up ....he was too afraid to leave a text message or voice mail.

Yeah, and lets not forget that he tried to IM her through his PDA, and was left with no response.
