Default What's the difference between Trigonometry and Precalculus?

Does anyone know?

Well...I took both, but I can't remember enough to state the differences. I found calc much harder and complex though.

I think I took both. I definitely took Precalculus, but in my high school they didn't have a class called Trigonometry--they claimed it was combined with other classes, which I think was bs.

Anyways, I THINK, trigonometry is more closely related to geometry in that it deals with angles and sides of triangles. Its all rather complex and stupid, but maybe I say that because I hate triangles. Sin Cos and Tan are certain calculations used, and to this day, I couldn't tell you what they all mean.

Pre Calculus and Calculus deal with some rough tough algebraic stuff.

I found some questions on precalculus:

Is the following plane curve a function: y = 3t2 , x = Ö{t + 2} , 0 £ t £ 5 ?

Given a point in rectangular coordinates (x,y) , express it in polar coordinates (r, q) two different ways such that 0 £ q < 2p : (x,y) = (1, Ö3) .

The problems look a little algebra-ey, but only scarier.

~~Also, when you take math, you must take Trig before Pre Cal. I believe that sin cos junk is also used in Pre Calculus.

They're both subjects that scare the hell outta me, that's for sure.
