Wasn't it illegal for Roseanne to hire DJ to work full time at the Diner? He was under 14. Is that why Leon was saying that they can't hire a child?

D.J. never worked ful time at the restaurant. He usually only worked there when he got into trouble or when someone could not make it to work or when he wanted to get out of playing with his friend, who ended up playing Tommy Sullivan on 3rd Rock from the Sun.
