I loved Soap when I was young and I love it now. I just joined Netflix and watched season 1 first disk and geese, this is a great show!!! LOL

Anyway, I was wondering how long the show was one for and how many seasons. Also how many season are on dvd? Are they all available? If not why not?

I was pretty young when it was on so I can't really remember it.

Soap ran for 4 seasons, from 1977-1981.
So far just Season 1 is on DVD. Don't know if or when they're releasing the other seasons, but I'm sure someone here knows something.

I did the same thing. Planned on renting the set through Netflix. Watched half of the episodes on the first disc and then returned it, because I told myself I have to have it. Especially since it was just around $20 on amazon.com. I loved the show when I was a kid, wasn't sure if I'd want to own the dvd set, but I'm glad I got it.

I can't wait to get the 2nd season when it comes out, I grew up watching this show in repeats mostly and loved it right away.
