Question "Homeward Bound" - Nick-at-Nite non-edited phrase?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've seen the episode "Homeward Bound" where DJ is caught "playing with himself" various times on TBS in the past. However, I watched this episode early this morning on Nick-at-Nite (at 12 a.m. my timezone), and while they were in the kitchen, I clearly heard Roseanne say something like, "It's all right. It's just masturbation" to Dan. It caught me off-gaurd because I'm almost sure I haven't heard that phrase in this episode on TBS. I missed the 9 p.m. airing of this episode where it showed that scene, so I am wondering if it has appeared as well? Maybe it was only meant to be aired in the early morning time and not in the primetime? Was I correct in not hearing it on TBS?

"Who told you I got caught playing with my instrument in band?" - DJ

I think that might be my favorite episode.

Yes... last time I watched this episode at 11pm ET they aired that line. TBS liked to edit racy comments out. Ted Turner and Company.

That's exactly what I was thinking and why I was confused with Nick-at-Nite. It seems they edit out either an entire episode (such as two Three's Company episodes) OR edit out normal scenes. However, Nick-at-Nite won't edit out comments.... hmmmm...

That girl on the left in swedeace's photo looks alot like Winona Ryder in Heathers. I guess its supposed to be Ace of Base though?

I'm also glad (and surprised) Nick @ Nite hasn't edited Roseanne for content like the other stations. I hope the show is on N@N for a VERY long time...

Hearing the mastrubation thing on N@N really suprised me. It wasn't as suprising as in "Girl Talk" when they are talking about Fred failing "the oral" and Roseanne claiming he doesnt need his tongue. It seems like THAT would be edited out for sure. These two things remaining in the show seemed weird since they don't show the urinal scene in the Halloween episode. They do show it in the clip show though. Perhaps, the episode ran long for syndication, and they cut a scene out that wasnt required for the episode to make sense. On my local FOX network, they cut out alot from the Simpsons. Back to Roseanne, that really sucked that they cut out that scene, cuz it was prolly the best one in the episode.

I am writing a thesis on depictions of masturbation on television, and this episode has been recomended to me by multiple people. I was wondering if anyone knows how I can get a copy of this episode as it is not yet out on video?

I remember hearing the line on TBS. I used to have the episode from TBS. David walked into the kitchen and sat down as Roseanne said it, then he got right back up and left.

I also caught a line that was shown on N@N that was removed from TBS on another episode: the episode where Dan and Roger were remodeling what was to be Jackie's new house, Rosie called Dan a bastard, but that was cut from TBS.
