Angry Photo Radar-What Do You Think?

There's a rumour floating around that the government here (in Québec) is considering introducing photo radar. Rather than the cops patrolling the freeways looking for speeders, they may use photo radar instead. Does it stop speeders, or is it just a revenue tool for the government?

I know a lot of drivers who aren't too happy with the idea.

What do you think about this issue?

It doesn't sound like a good idea to me, but then again, I don't live in Canada.

If they are going to use it they should give drivers a 10 mile an hour buffer, and only send tickets to those going over 10 miles an hour over the speed limit.

I sort of agree on the issue. The problem for me is- how would they (the cops) determine the driver of the car from the actual owner. If a ticket is was issued to the violater, how would they know if the speeder was the actual owner of the car? If your child (who would be old enough to drive for example) drove your car, was issued a speeding ticket, should YOU be the one paying for it- since it's YOUR car?

They wouldn't, but there is always a risk in letting someone else drive ones car. But I suppose if someone else got the ticket, you could get the money from them. If they don't pay up you could sue them.

If the child is a "minor", then the parent would have to pay.

You don't care because YOU don't have a girlfriend. Don't come whining to all of us about your "opinions" about your sex life, Solomon, because nobody really wants to hear about it. And keep your obscene language to yourself, if you decide to reply to my message, or I'll send TJ a Private Message.

NO! Jenya is NOT the language police. Jenya doesn't want to be called stupid- or read idiotic comments like this:

I don't appreciate that dumb comment, Soloman. Because I know for a fact that you are extremely rude in EVERY single one of your posts. And you know it-whether you like it or not.
