TV "The Mentalist" Upps Emily Swallow to Series Regular

"Monday Mornings" Alum Joins the Cast of "The Mentalist"
Sep 12, 2013
by Natalie Abrams

"Monday Mornings" alum Emily Swallow has landed a multi-episode arc on "The Mentalist", TVGuide.com has confirmed.

As first reported by TVLine.com, Swallow will play Kim Fischer, a mysterious woman who will have an influence on Jane's life.

With the impending exits of Amanda Righetti and Owain Yeoman, the actress has the potential to become a series regular.

"The Mentalist" returns on Sunday, Sept. 29 at 10/9c on CBS.

Exclusive: "The Mentalist" Promotes Emily Swallow to Series Regular Ahead of Dec. 1 Debut
by Michael Ausiello
11/15/13

Emily Swallow has been made a full-time member of "The Mentalist".

The "Monday Mornings" actress — who was originally signed for just three episodes — has been promoted to a full-fledged series regular on the CBS procedural two weeks before her first episode even airs, TVLine has learned exclusively.

Very little is known about Swallow’s character, the enigmatic Kim Fischer, save for this little morsel: she will have a profound impact on Jane’s life. We can also confirm that she will first turn up on Dec. 1.

Rockmund Dunbar and Emily Swallow were eventually made series regulars following the impending departures of Amanda Righetti and Owain Yeoman.
