Get Christie Love! (1974) on VHS

This was an ABC tv-movie that served as a pilot to the short-lived series "Get Christie Love!" that aired from 1974-1975.

It stars Teresa Graves as a street-smart undercover detective who is sent to investigate a drug ring.

The film/series was inspired by the 70's Blaxploitation films.

After the tv show was canceled Teresa Graves decided to leave acting after becoming a Jehovah's Witness. Her religious beliefs got written into the show that had her not drink alcohol and not have sex as examples.

She died in 2002 after losing consciousness when her home caught fire.

I have to watch it again with subtitles - I was missing a lot I think.
Didn't help the Netflix instant was working sporadically.

There was some pretty funny stuff.

They also used the same footage more than once. That's what made it so bad.

Thanks for clarifying that it is actually entirely terrible...

The Big Bus (1976) on VHS

This is a spoof on disaster movies with this one being about the world's first nuclear powered bus going non-stop from New York to Denver.

At the time of release the film got horrible reviews and didn't do well in the box office. A few years later the same company, Paramount, went on to release a much more successful disaster movie spoof with Airplane!.

Spine Tingler - The William Castle Story '07 (Entertaining documentary on director William Castle, who made going to the movies and interactive experience.)

Pelt '10 (Fun backwoods horror flick.)

Rampage '09 (Troubled man builds bullet proof body suit, arms himself and goes on a rampage. Sadly I think most people will dismiss it before seeing it because it's a Uwe Boll film.)

It's a comedy, kind of spoofs the 50's and 60's jungle adventures, lot's of 80's political humor. Also spoofs African Queen(Bill Maher and Shannon Tweed in the Hepburn and Bogart roles) No eating of human flesh, though lots of talk of dipping it into guacamole.
